Not Your Mothers Beach Babe Review

Hello... so I have been trying to change my hair products a little bit. I didn't have my Ouidad stuff on me, so I reached for my tiny 2.99 Not Your Mother's Beach Babe Sea Salt Spray... and I loved the way it made my hair look... so I got the texturizing cream and the full size of the spray and I will put it to the test right now.

First off... It gives directions! Always super helpful especially if you don't know how to use something. Basically you use the cream on damp hair, either after taking a shower or after using the spray and then you scrunch it. I used it after a shower and I used the spray right afterwards. I just sprayed the spray, scrunched it a little, teased it a little and then combed through with my wide tooth-ed Ouidad comb and I took a little bit of my L'Oreal Total Repair 5 Dry oil and sprayed that and rubbed it through, just to give my hair a bit more moisture. My hair hasn't totally dried yet, but so far I like the way it looks and feels so far. Not too dry, I feel like I look like a beach babe. It's nighttime right now, I'll probably put a bit more of the spray and dry oil on tomorrow and let you know the full verdict.

It should also be noted that I don't heat style my hair at all. I don't use a blowdryer ever and its naturally curly so I typically don't need to style it at all.

And some pros of the product before I do a full review. The packaging is really nice. It's not huge packaging... but you only need a little bit of the cream to style your hair and I feel like the spray will last quite a while. The packaging for that's a little bigger. The cream is very travel friendly because it is a little sleeker for a styling cream and the spray also wouldn't be bad to travel with because it has a nice lock on it so it won't open up all in your bag.

It also smells super super nice. Remember the episode of friends where Phoebe tells Ross that he loves Rachel because he sniffed her hair when he hugged her and Ross said it smelled like coconuts?
I've been wanting a coconut smell with a subtle linger ever since seeing that episode... and this is exactly what I wanted.

And it's drugstore, they sell it at Ulta, probably even at Wall Marts, Targets, Grocery Stores, I know Beauty Plus Salon has it... and I got mine at Harmon. It's only 4.99-5.99 so for the price you really can't go wrong. They have a shampoo and conditioner as well... But I just wanted the styling products.

Alrighty so I really liked the way it looked today. I think it's a little bit beachier and now that it's sort of spring here in Jersey, I like the bechier look. I want to try to use it after I use my deep conditioner, because that will show it as it's best... So I'll update you again tomorrow...

Alrighty it was good I really liked it today. I thought y curls looked a bit tighter and my hair looked really long. If you're going to coachella or any festivals I would say that these are two good products to use.

I think my hair. Might have looked a bit frizzier throughout the day because it was a really hot and windy day... It was just kind of yucky out. It wasn't totally crazy, just a little bit poofy.

So yeah I'd definitely recommend this, for $5 you can't really go wrong. Loves it!

Byeeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
