Do I need more stuff? Yes, yes I do.
So I felt like buying some make up recently and I had a 15 percent off sephora coupon so I thought "what the hell" and went to the mall.
I had no idea what I wanted at sephora because honestly there is sooo much new stuff and it all looks pretty and gorgeous and I want it all basically. And honestly I was super SUPER close to buying the two faced chocolate bar palette... But I have a lot of eye palettes I didn't think I would use it right now and I want it someday but it isn't a big need in my life right now.
But I did want to try a higher-end blush because all I have are drugstore blushes and they all kind of look the same. So I got their Microsmooth Baked Blush duo in Guava Glow... And it is a bit dark and orangey and out of my comfort zone... But it's still gorgeous and the formula is great so I'm really happy with it and will definitely put it to good use.
I had also been eyeing some of the new colors in the Stila Smudgestick eyeliners so I got the mint green one... Again I don't totally know how to wear it but it's really pretty and I've seen a lot of people on YouTube using it so I thought why not! I love mint and I think I'll be wearing a lot of it in the spring and summer. So this is just a fun little thing.
Then I wanted to stop in CVS to see if they had the new Rimmel Stay Blushed blushes... And I totally forgot to look for them! Lol I did also want to see if they had any of the NYC lipsticks that I recently put to the true test and they did! So I got three more colors: Purple Crush, Modern Love (which I partially got because there's a David Bowie song called Modern love, but I did really like it.) and Blue rose. Blue Rose and Purple Crush are almost the same color it looks like now that is watched them... But they do look different enough on the lips that I don't feel stupid having bought them both lol.
Purple Crush is a pretty dark purpley color.
Blue Rose is a kind of a blue toned brighter rose. I feel like it's a bit of a softer bright pink lol.
And modern love is kind of more of a natural softer pink.
I also wanted to see their individual eyes palettes because they looked really pretty. I got the brown eyes palette called Midtown Mauve which has some pretty purples. It comes with 4 powder eyeshadowz and a cream base color and illuminator. I had heard some bad things about their eyeshadows before, but I heard that they reformulated them and I think they did a good job. I had heard that the shadows were powdery and chalky feeling, but from swatching it it didn't feel bad at
all. I think it's a pretty great value for 4 powder shadows and 2 cream shadows. I think I could use this palette alone to create a nice look, so it's good for beginners also.
And then at the Check out line I saw that they had EOS lip balms and I needed one cause my lips hurt real bad. (Name that movie). I got the sweet mint flavor, which I wasn't expecting to taste quite so minty. It tastes exactly like mint chaosticks like the Dr.Rescue Babylips. I like it just wasn't what I was expecting for some reason.
And I had a bath and body works coupon for a free travel sized item, so I got one of their new French Lavender Honey Lotions and it smells really good. I wanted the travel sized spray, but apparently the coupon didn't work for that, which is a little sad but still I love travel sized lotions and I love free things so it will be put to good use.
And I also went to Harmon... which is my favorite discount beauty store. They are the most affordable store around me at least and they have a really good selection of stuff. They have Nyx and a lot of Elf products that they don't have at target and the BEST prices on Physican's formula.
So first off I got what I originally came there for, the Not Your Mother's Beach Babe Texturizing Sea Salt Spray and the Texturizing Hair Cream. I didn't have my Ouidad stuff at school with me last week, so I was using my little travel size of the sea salt spray and I really liked the way it made my hair look... so I picked up a full sized version and the texturizing cream... and I may give the Ouidad stuff a bit of a break. I'll see how this works and maybe I'll try some other Not Your Mothers stuff.
And the Physicians Formula Shimmer strips blush, bronzer, highlighter, eyeshadow thingamabob in the shade Malibu Strip. I'm super excited about this. I've heard all good things, it's got a few gorgeous highlighty shades on top and some lighter bronzy shades on the bottom. It just looks like it gives the skin a gorgeous glow and I cannot wait to use it.
Then I got a couple of the Rimmel Scandaleyes waterproof Kohl Kajal pencils in Deep Blue and Nude. I've been wanting to try these for a long time, but they always look kind of picked over at my Walgreens and it's pretty impossible to find the Nude one anywhere. I heard EmilyNoel83 talk about them on youtube... she has a blog too I think its Beauty Broadcast... she's pretty well known and AMAZING and she's pregnant so she'll have a cute little baby sometime soon... and yeah. Ohh but my point was I heard her talk about these colors in particular and said that they're nice higlighty type colors and I like that. So yeah... I got them.
And last but not least I got a beauty sponge that looks quite a bit like the beauty blender. It's from the brand StyleWurks... which I haven't heard about but it looks like a nice little dupe. I haven't tried the beauty blender because... It's a $20 sponge. I'm not about that life. This was 4.99 and I'm a little about that life. I've tried the Up&Up sponge before and I sort of liked it. They had the Real Techniques sponge too, which I've heard good things about... but decided to go with this one for now. I'll probably do a review of some sort.
Anddd last but not least I went to Walgreens. I had a store credit from when I took back the yucky smelling Milani stuff and I got some things with it today. I got a Maybeline Master Hi-Light blush in the shade Light Bronze. It's really pretty I do like it. Haven't used it yet, but I like it lol. And I got a Maybeline Master Glaze in Coral Sheen. This looked pretty and I like the master glaze thingys and they were buy one get one half. I wanted to get the new bronzers... but I didn't... I might some day tho. lol.
And I picked up 2 wet n' wild megalast nail polishes... these are amazing nail polishes for such an affordable price its CRAY! They have a nice thick brush and it's great. I got On a Trip which is like a bluish purple and Heatwave which is an orangey coral color. I clearly have a thing for coral right now! Is it summer yet? Nope :(
Then I saw some Olay Fresh Effects Make Up removers and I thought "hey I'm gonna need something to remove all of this new make up with. So there.
That is everything! I really had fun shopping... I'm going to be a bad blogger right now and not include pictures... but someday soon there will be pics. You can bet your bottom dollar. From what I've tried so far, I'm really happy. This was a good haul!
Sooo yeah. I hope you're all feeling Lovely this Friday and every day! I'm getting a little more into posting about beauty things... so you will probably be seeing more of these than just on Friday. Not gonna lie I love these blogs!
