Small Haul

Sooo a few days ago I decided why not go to the mall and then I saw things to buy and I was like "why not buy those things" so I did just that.

So first I went to CVS and they had a deal on physicians formula that I was really looking at... But physicians formula is quite expensive, and a lot of it is really really small. The packaging for their CC creams I thought would be much bigger, but they aren't all that much bigger than the Rimmel Foundation I use and it's like $17 at Cvs... So I was like nahhhh I'll pass on that. But I did not pass on the NYC stuff.

So I'm slowly trying to get more into bronzers and stuff, and I thought NYC's Sunny Bronzer would be a good start to that. It's only a few dollars and everyone raves about it. It's so nice and light and I have to say I love the packaging. A lot of the NYC packaging is pretty cheap, the tops of their expert last lipsticks, which I love- fall off all the time. This one is hard to open, so I guess it will be kind of hard to open and everything. It also comes with a mirror which is useful, I just threw this in my bag the other night because I needed a mirror and this looked like it would be a nice compact and it stayed together nicely. I have wet n wilds reserve your cabana highlighter/Bronzer thing and that fell apart immediately and this one didn't... So that's a good thing.

Then I picked up another expert last lipstick. I regretted not getting the color coralista last time I went, this time I got it and I like it.  It's a bit orange for me, but I'm trying to get out of my comfort zone.

I also picked up one of their cityproof twistable intense lip color... And this is amazing. This is a nice buildable color, comes with a nice cap that doesn't fall off, and of all of the lip pencil type thingys, this one is the easiest to apply. When they say cityproof, it means it. It's easy to just throw on and it's just sooo so easy to use. I got the shade Fulton Street Fuscia. It's a nice light pink color, good for summer.

Then I saw that they had Loreal advanced total repair 5 extraordinary oil. I'm running out of the other dry oil, and I thought this looked like it might be better for my hair. It's a bit of a thicker oil than the other one and the smell is more pepperminty as where the other one just smells like a salon hair product type of thing. This also has a pump instead of a spray because the oil is a bit thicker. It says it helps split ends and shines and softens hair. I haven't used it enough to really tell a difference. It does add a little shine and some softness maybe... Not totally sure. But I needed a hair oil and I wanted to try this one.

Then I saw that they had the Freeman's feeling beautiful face masks and I love them,so I got the Avacado oatmeal one. This is probably the 4th one of these I've purchased and I love them. For 3.99 you can't go wrong.

Then I did something terrible and went to The Body Shop... I know I shouldn't step in this store, but I did and I bought the best thing ever that I am now addicted to and will need more of throughout my entire life.

It is the new Raspberry body scrub. This scrub is like a jelly consistency and it's made with actual raspberry seeds. It looks and smells like raspberry jam. It really exfoliates in a nice way that makes your skin soo soo smoothe. I've never really tried anything quite like it. I tried it on my hand in the store and my hand felt sooo so soft and smelled amazing afterward. I love the way rasberries smell, it's probably my favorite smelling fruit and I really like it. I wish they made this a long time ago because last year I had sooo many problems with my dry legs, this probably would have stopped it.

I've only used this for like 2 days and I can already say it's improved my dry legs significantly. I love it. Sooo soo good. Definitely worth the $20. They usually do buy two get one free and deals like that, so I think I'm going to stock up in the future because I just really like these a lot.

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
