Sooo I'm sick right now and I want to watch movie trailers... soooo... thats what is going to happen right now.
1) The Fault in Our Stars- This is based on a book that I'm not sure I wanted to read... but I watched the trailer and it looks cute. I'm not that into love stories, and this one looks super sad. I'm sure the book is great and that the movie will be great as well. It doesn't look like a sappy-overly tragic love story. It actually looks like a love story that happens to have tragedy in it. I feel like Nicholas Sparks and romance movies like Remember Me exploit tragic events in order to create feels for people that really aren't there. This doesn't look like that. I think I may want to ease my way into John Green before reading this though, he looks like he has a lot of great books that I'd like to read other than this.
2) The Maze Runner- This one I actually did read and I'm super excited about. Out of all the dystopian societies, this one looks the most fun and adventurous. This looks really good. It's almost exactly how I pictured this when I was reading the book. The only thing different is that I pictured Theresa as a pretty girl with blonde curly hair and they got a pretty brunette with curly hair. I don't know that they ever described Theresa as blonde with curly hair, but that's how I pictured Anabeth in Percy Jackson, so that's how I picture girls that are the only girl among a bunch of boys.
This looks good. I definitely want to see this!
3) Jupiter Ascending- I have no clue what this movie is about. I still don't know after watching the trailer. Channing Tatum and Mila Kunis are sooo pretty though that I sort of want to see it... but it also looks like it could be as bad as Battlefield Earth. Maybe not though.... Meh I'll netflix it if its on netflix. If not, it isn't meant to be.
4) Cavemen- I thought this movie might be something good... but this has been done sooooo many times before that I'm sick of it! A guy has a female best friend... and then realizes wait... I have a female best friend, I should be with her right? But then his male best friend gets together with her and its all sad... and the name cavemen just makes it all that much worse. I'm sick of these overly male comedies that are like this. Ick. I'll pass.
5) Mom's Night Out- I chose to watch this movie because I wanted to review something that I actually would want to see... but the trailer for this looks just as bad as cavemen! Basically every chick movie stereotype is in this movie and it does not work one bit! This has also been done before... AND HOW MANY MOVIES ARE THERE WERE SOMEONE LOSES ONE OF THEIR KIDS/BABIES! Seriously Hollywood, I don't have a baby and I don't want one any time in the near future... but it can't be that goddamn hard to keep track of your damn kid! We don't need 50 COMEDIES about missing children. I'd like to think parents are just slightly better than that.
