Random Spontaneous Fun!

Heyyy guys I was going to do a woman crush Wednesday on Amy Schumer today... But I went out last night and I had a lot of fun and it was somewhat adventurous... So I figured I would share it. This is a woman crush Wednesday on my friends Cristina and Regan in a way because they are amazing and fun and woman crush-able.

So my Tuesday started off a little crazy to begin with. I had a paper due that morning and I had only started it at 9:00 the night before... But I actually really like writing papers that way. I think it's kind of fun and therapeutic to wait until the very last minute and staying up all night to finish it. That might just be me being crazy, but Idk I feel like I write really well when I do that and I'm always proud of myself after. And I oddly enough really like writing about history. I'm an English major, so when I get to write about something other than English, it's always fun to me!

So after I did that I decided to reward myself by going to the mall. I didn't really "need need" anything, but I kind of wanted to get Gloria Jeans coffee and check out some stores there... Which I did (haul coming soon!) and I walked around the entire mall a lot. I think I walked around it like twice, and it's a pretty big mall... So it was a feat... And speaking of feet, I was not wearing comfy shoes... So there was that too. And it was incredibly hot there and I almost fell asleep on the path... It was just bad.

So then my friend Cristina texted me and said "hey do you want to go to the city with me and Regan tonight? We'll be there around 8"

Since I only have one class on Tuesdays and I knew my Wednesday class was cancelled already, I was like "sure lets be spontaneous" and we went! We all had different adventures getting to New York. I don't remember exactly what happened to Regan, but there was apparently a crazy girl with a nose ring on her train, Cristina had someone say she looked familiar and asked if she did porn (because that's the first place you would recognize someone from??? Lol) and she does not. And I saw a bunch of people eating bananas, someone serenaded me, and I had a final destanation scare... All in all pretty normal for Newark Penn.

Anyway we went to Jekyll and Hyde afterword,Regan got a beer that she was surprised to find out came in a massive container. We had a cute waiter and all of the actors in the show that were walking around we're hanging out with us. It was quite fun.

Then we went to sendipity which was delicious, but we went like right at closing. Ohhh one weird thing, there were a bunch of kids out! Maybe they were on vacation or had spring break or something, but reLly? You're going to keep your kids out till Midnight on a Tuesday? All the parents were jealous that the Jekyll and Hyde actors were paying attention to us instead of them... But I mean come on! Don't take your kids out at times when college kids are getting drunk.

Then we had subway issues because none of us really knows how to use the subway and so we were stuck waiting for quite a while on the train, so we inspected the trash left on the ground, which I like to think of as "Urban Anthropology." How did the trash get there? Who did it belong to? We saw two SnapBack hats and we wondered how exactly they got ere and what the peoples reaction was to losing it. There's so much mystery and wonder in garbage inspecting. I enjoy it and I was happy that my friends seemed fascinated by it too. And we saw a couple of Subway rats, they were kind of cute! Lol.

And yeah, we didn't end up getting back until like 2:30 which sucked. Especially for Cristina, she had to stay over and she had work today and had to get up early. I had basically nothing to do, so I was pretty okay.

It was a fun night. I definitely recommend spontaneous trips, especially when you're young and there aren't all that many responsibilities or worries in your life. It's just nice to do things like this every once and a while.

It List: May 2017

Can't believe it's the last day of May... this was a great time for TV... so let's get right into it! 1) Master of None- The second season of this show was really really great! I liked the first season... but this season was just wayyy better to me for some reason... I loved that they had episodes about Italy and about New York... I think they did a really great job and I was so impressed with it... I'll have to watch the first season over again and do a Throwback Thursday on that sometime soon... but until then... season 2 was great! 2) Girl Boss- I finally got around to watching Girl Boss this month too... and I loved that show! At first I wasn't sure if I was going to like it or not... then I just couldn't stop watching it and I finished it in 2 days... which I guess is when I finished all the Netflix shows I'm talking about... but still. Girlboss was definitely really good... and I feel like I could watch this one over and over again too. 3) Unbrea...

Blogmas Day 12: The 12 Days of Christmas Gift Guide

So I thought it would be fun to do a gift guide that every gift corresponds with the price. So like for the first day of Christmas $1 gift that would be good and then up from there. These would be good stocking stutterers and things I just think are unique. $1- Solar Powered Dancers!  My mom loves getting the little dancing solar powered people. We get most of ours from Dollar tree... other dollar stores have them too, they're super cute and fun for $1. Its good to put near any plants that you have that way you know they're getting sunlight. It's a good gift. $2- Mini Coloring Book!  At 5 Below they had some mini travel sized coloring books for $2. I thought these were pretty cool. I got the Botanical one I believe. Really cute and fun! I would recommend! $3-   Ceramic Truck w/ Christmas Tree  I saw this at the Target Dollar Spot and I thought it was cute and would probably make a great gift. If you know someone who has a truck or likes the sort of "rustic C...

Scribbles About Food: Gloria Jeans Pistachio Chiller (kinda like a frap)

So since I'm doing all of the Frappuccino reviews, I thought I would give a shout out to a different coffee chain that I like... maybe even more than Starbucks! But I hardly ever go to it because A) People get your orders wrong there a lot B) I don't really live near one! So Gloria Jeans has some amazing drinks called Chillers that are like Frappuccinos, but they have always had a ton of really good and really interesting flavors. One of my favorite Seasonal ones is the Pistachio Chiller. They had this around this time last year also and its a really good unique flavor. Basically it tastes like pistachio ice cream... but in a frozen coffee form. Its pretty cool! And Pistachio is a pretty underrated flavor in my opinion. I don't get it enough, but I always love Pistachio and Almond flavored desserts and this in particular is really flavorful and just a really good chiller. I don't think there is anything at starbucks that compares to it really, its really different...
