How To-sday: How to Get The London Look

Sooo Influenster has challenged me to create a "London Look" using the Rimmel Stay Matte Primer... And I'm gonna go ahead and actually use mostly Rimmel products for this look! This isn't really going to be a huge "whole face of make up" look because I'm going with a bolder lip, but I still think it's a cool trendy somewhat London-ish look.

I was actually thinking of doing a smokey eye with really bright lips and cheeks because I've been to London and in the summer at least they had a lot of overcast grey skies, but it pretty much always got really nice and pretty at some point during the day. I like that idea a lot still, but in the spring... It's allergy season, and  sometimes it's nice to take a break from using a lot of shadows and just do very minimum eye make up.

So first off, I'm going to prime my face. I'm using the Maybeline Baby skin because I don't have any Rimmel primers, but I have heard great things about all the primers that they have and they are super affordable... So I'm sure I will try on in the not so distant future.

And then I'm going to use the Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation of corse. I really love everything about this foundation. It gives a really nice coverage, it isn't too cakey looking, and it's very longwearing. It is obviously a matte foundation, but it doesn't cling to my dry patches like a lot of mattifying foundations. I really like it. It just gives a nice flawless finish.

Then I'm going to put on my Maybeline Master Glaze Blush in the color Coral Sheen. I know Rimmel just came out with a new blush called their Stay Flushed blush that I really have been dying to get my hands on... But sadly I cannot find it ANYWHERE! I've been checking Wall Mart on line to see what stores have it and none of the regular stores I go to have it. I haven't seen it at any other drugstore and I really want to try it. It's the same liquid mousse texture of the foundation, but it's supposed to give a kind of sheer wash of color, which I like. I don't want anything too heavy since I'm still not a blush expert. This Master Glaze is a cream blush that I thought would be the most similar to the stay blushed. It's easy to apply and the color is pretty and summery. And again, I think the stay blushed has a similar color which I really want to try to compare the two. That'd be a fun blog.

I'm not going to use any eyeshadow here, but I do happen to like the Rimmel Scamdaleyes Kohl Kajal pencils... so I'm going to use a couple of those. On my upper lash line I'm going to use the shade Dark blue and on my waterline I'm going to use the shade nude. I've heard everyone talk about these on YouTube... They are seriously amazing. So creamy and when they say waterproof they are not joking! These guys are longlasting, which amazes me becaus they are still so very creamy. I've never met a long lasting pencil liner that's been that creamy. Seriously can't believe I'm just now trying these!

And for the lips I promised you bold and there is nothing quite as bold as the Rimmel Show Off lip lacquers. I have the shade aura and I've been a little scared to wear it because it is such a bold color... But it's a nice pink, it's springtime I feel like I can rock this. These have amazing color payoff and the scent is really nice too, it smells like strawberry banana. I didn't love the scent at first, but it grows on you. It's not bad but it isn't trying to hard to mask a bad scent or something that makes me suspicious. I like it a lot!

So yeah that is it. I always wanted to do a one brand tutorial, but I don't really want to go out and spend the money on something I already have in the name of just sticking to one brand. I also think it's fun to just say what I want from the brand and stuff like that... So yeah I thought that was fun. There will probably be more of these sometime in the future, so look out for that!

I also want to mention that this look is soo soo easy because there is no eyeshadow or anything like that, but it still looks like you put in some effort with the look because of the bright eyeliner and bold lip. It also brightens up your face a lot... I know this picture still makes it look like I got no sleep last night, because I really didn't get sleep last night and no amount of make up can cover it up... but it may not be quite as noticeable to everyone.

Byeeeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
