Weelkly Wrap Up 11.13.16

This is an interesting Weekly Wrap up this week if ever there was one... But yeah... here we go!
Favorites
The Late Show with Stephen Colbert- I think over the next 4 years... I'm probably going to watch just about every late night tv show out there... because if there is a silver lining to the next four years, its comedy. And thats what I want to do. I would love to have a late night show. A lot of people would probably hate me. Lol. But yeah, Colbert has been really great. I've been watching segments on youtube and then on Wednesday I watched it live.

Lin Manuel Miranda- Specifically I've been listening to the Hamilton Soundtrack all week pretty much. Its very relevant in this day and age. I just think Lin Manuel Miranda is brilliant. I'm really excited to see Moana. I've been reading Hamilton: The Revolution and reading his side notes and getting an input on his writing process. Its interesting how he put the musical together. He's brilliant. He's the hope I have for this world.

Leslie Odom, Jr. Simply Christmas- More Hamilton stuff... I love Leslie Odom, Jr. The Room Where It Happens is probably my favorite song in the play. I love his christmas cd too, he has such a great voice. I'm not a big fan of jazz music, so I don't listen to his other cd that much... but I love this cd. Its a little early for Christmas Music yet... but his voice is the best and its just the best Christmas CD. His Ave Maria really brings tears to my eyes.

Life Scribbles
Monday I went out with my mom and we went shopping and I think we ate at TGIF.

Tuesday was Election Day.

Wednesday I went to pick up Candy Corn at a place because I won a guess the Candy Corn Contest. And we went out for dinner.

Thursday I think I went to Starbucks 2 times... which will be a theme with the BOGO free starbucks. Lol.

Friday I went to Sephora at the fancy mall and went out to dinner. And again, got 2 Starbucks!

TV Highlights
The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and The Late Late Show... and Late Night with Seth Meyers... I was into late night tv this week. Blackish was also really good this week and the other wednesday night shows.

Noteworthy Snacks
Sugar Cookie Egg Nog.

Starbucks Holiday drinks... and that's about it!

News and World Events
The election happened on Tuesday and the winner is Donald Trump... I can't believe I just typed that. I really had a little more faith in my country... but it is what it is. These are sad times. Our choices were terrible, and its going to be a longggg 4 years. If you support him and you can't take a joke and don't understand satire or parody... might be a good time to stop reading this blog. I can be a pretty nasty woman when I want.

And Jane The Virgin was good this week!

Thoughts
I don't even know what to think. Be nice to everyone you meet. Love everyone, don't let the election get in the way of your friendships too much... but if someone says something that's offensive and they're stressing you out... its okay to delete them. Just be nice to people.

Clickables
How is American Horror Story Connected?- I don't necessarily agree with everything in this theory... but I liked the video anyway. It mentions that Shelby is a witch... which I did mention in one of my AHS reactions... but I think its more of a "cosmic balance of the universe" thing than a connection.

A Letter to America from Leslie Knope, regarding Donald Trump - When we need hope, there's always Leslie Knope!

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
