Weekly Wrap Up 11/20/16

Favorites
Late Night TV- As I've mentioned... I'm trying to watch as much late night TV as I can  lately... this week I've watched The Late Show, The Late Late Show, Late Night with Seth Meyers, and Last Week Tonight with John Oliver. I mostly have them on in the background while I do other stuff. Late Night and The Late Late show I try to watch live... but most of it I try to have on while blogging or cleaning my room or doing my makeup. Right now The Late Show is on while I'm writing this. I still want to watch Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, some more Seth Meyers... probably Bill Mahr and Samantha Bee too. It's a good time for Late Night TV.

How To Get Away With Murder- Wow... That Winter Finale... Wow! That's all I'll say... it was pretty shocking. I did a whole post on it yesterday... so just know it was pretty great.

Life Scribbles
Monday I went out to lunch with my mom... I think I went to Harmon and Starbucks too... yep that was that day.

Tuesday I mostly stayed home.

Wednesday I went to the grocery store with my mom and grandmother.

Thursday I went to the doctors... and Friday I went grocery shopping too!

TV Highlights
How To Get Away With Murder... American Horror Story... so many good things! I also watched some Life in Pieces this week, that's a good one. A lot of the comedies on ABC... so many good things.

Noteworthy Snacks
Sugar Cookie Egg Nog.

French Onion Soup.

Anything with chocolate.

News and World Events
Mickey Mouse turned 88 years old on Friday! That is pretty cool.

There is a video of a polar bear petting a dog!

I'm trying not to read Facebook news anymore... as I've mentioned... but Carrie Fisher allegedly had an affair with Harrison Ford while shooting Star Wars.

There was a really nice story on the  CBS This Morning Show about a little girl that became friends with an older man. This 82-year old man was a recent widower and he felt lost and helpless. This little girl came up to him and said "Hey old person! It's my Birthday! Can you give me a hug?" And he did and he said he felt happier than he had felt in a long time. He thinks of the little girl as an Angel that has given him a reason to live.  I'll link the article from CBS below... it's just the best news story I've seen in a very long time and it gives me the kind of hope that I feel like we need in today's day and age.

Mike Pence attended a showing of Hamilton... really? That guy saw it before me? Anyway... they had a nice message for Mike Pence at the end of the show about diversity, and I'll link the video below.
Thoughts
Don't believe everything you see online... don't believe anything you see on the news either. There are some people I trust... and I'm watching them only. I'm sticking with Late Night TV, The CBS Morning Show... I resubscribed to Phillip Defranco and sourcefed. I'm also going to start listening to Charles Osgood because I loved Sunday Morning on CBS. I  trust the local ABC news... but that's about it. And even those are quite biased.... so just know what you're getting yourself into. Don't repost anything unless you're certain its true... be informed!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
