Scribbles About Movies: Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them

Alright last day before Blogmas! This is exciting! I don't have much ready for Blogmas on this blog yet, not even going to lie. Lol.

Anyway... Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them!

I wasn't really expecting this movie to be amazing. I kind of had a low bar set because even though it is in the same world as Harry Potter, and its fun to go back to the Wizarding World... but its not Harry Potter. It wouldn't be the same, it wouldn't feel the same... its not the same. 5 movies is going to be too much, it just won't be as good.

And I was SOOOOOOO happy that I was proven wrong! This feels more like Harry Potter to me than a lot of the Harry Potter movies. And I think thats because JK Rowling actually wrote the screenplay for this movie and she's writing/ has written the screenplays for the other movies as well! So that gives me high hopes for the future of these movies.

There is also nothing to compare the movie to. The book didn't really have a plot... so the only movie or book I think you could even kind of find comparisons too was The Deathly Hallows... but that's a whole other thing. Grindelwald is the connection between the two movies.

As much as I love Hogwarts... I loved that this wasn't at Hogwarts! I like that it was just in New York and it was in the past because that's just kind of cool. We haven't seen too much of the Wizard World outside of Hogwarts, and it was just fun to see how it worked in America and in the real world.

I liked the characters a lot too... both human and beast. I thought they all had interesting relationships to each other and they were pretty well developed. I would talk a little bit more about them... but I almost spoiled... a lot... so I won't... but I'm hoping everyone returns for the sequel and that they have more adventures.

I liked that Newt was a Hufflepuff... you could kind of see it in how he acted to... its weird how different all the people in all the different houses are, but we haven't seen to many Hufflepuffs in action... and that was pretty cool.

I liked that the end wasn't totally resolved either... there's a lot that could happen in the sequels! I'm excited for them already!

I definitely recommend seeing this! It was a great movie I give it an A++ I think its my favorite Harry Potter movie so far... it is just really really good! See it in theaters too, it was amazing!

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...
