The Thanksgiving Tag!

I haven't done a tag in a while... so here is one that I found right here
1. What is your favorite Thanksgiving side dish?

Hmmm tough choice... but I really love Stovetop Stuffing. I think I've blogged about this before... I don't care how fancy your stuffing recipe is... chances are I will like Stovetop better. My mom also makes great Sweet Potatoes with walnuts on top... so yummy!

2. What is your favorite Thanksgiving dessert?

Hmmm I feel like this always changes. My sister makes a really good pumpkin Tres Leche cake... and anything my cousin Amanda cooks. She is a professional chef, so whatever she makes is just amazing. I have a feeling she might be working this year... which is sad, but she's amazing!

3. What does your ideal Thanksgiving outfit look like?

I like Sweater dresses. It's fancy but you can still wear leggings so its still comfy.

4. What is your best Thanksgiving memory?
When I was like 5 I believe my parents and my sister and I went to the Thanksgiving Day Parade and I had on this really cute purple jacket with a black fur collar and one of the clowns in the parade said "I like your jacket!" And I was star struck! Lol. And still TO THIS DAY I remember it and it was amazing!

5. Least favorite Thanksgiving dish.

Probably vegetables... but maybe this year I'll try some. There was one year I kind of liked Turnip.

6. Do you have any quirky Thanksgiving traditions?

Nothing Quirky really... I kind of have to see A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving though! I think I'm going to convince my parents that having KFC the day before thanksgiving should be a tradition... because last year the day after Thanksgiving my mom and I went to Staten Island too look at dresses for my sisters wedding. We didn't get home too late... but we were kind of exhausted and my mom just said "What should we have to eat" and I said "KFC!" And it was the best meal ever. I think the day before Thanksgiving might work out better for us though!

7. Where do you and your family usually celebrate Thanksgiving?

Usually at my house. The year we went to the Macy's Parade we went to my Grandparents house.

8. What do you love most about Thanksgiving?

I love how loud my house gets. Everyone is talking and laughing and having a good time and it gets really loud and its kind of fun!

9. What do you think has changed most since the first Thanksgiving?

Shopping definitely! I don't think the pilgrims intended for people to stop actually even having Thanksgiving so that they could go shopping early... although, I think the Pilgrims were just in it for maize... so I'm sure they would appreciate the deals.

10. What are you thankful for?

Friends, family, dogs... the fact that I seem to have good luck winning random contests, the Target Dollar Spot and other dollar stores, the leaves that are changing and the nice weather we've been having, Alexander Hamilton, the Obama Biden Memes... lol. There's a lot I guess.

And here is the Addam's Family Values Thanksgiving scene. Its my favorite. Here it is!

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
