Why I love Pixar

So since last night I mentioned Pixar and then completely left the conversation... I thought I'd use that as a topic today!

I've loved Pixar since Toy Story first came out! I remember seeing it in theaters with my dad and my sister... and I believe her best friend at the time. This sticks out in my memory so much as an adult because my dad does not really like going to the movies... so its kind of funny that he'll only see cartoons. But it also makes sense that he took me to see the first Pixar movie because my dad is really into technology and at the time Steve Jobs was the CEO and my dad has always  pretty much liked apple products... so I can see why he likes Pixar so much!

And I have to say... I like Pixar better than Disney. Monsters Inc is my favorite Disney/Pixar movie of all time and, while there are some Disney movies I feel too old to see in theaters... I feel like I'll always see Pixar movies.

Also on top of that... there really aren't any bad Pixar movies! I haven't seen all of Cars 2 because that is pretty unwatchable... and I didn't really love Brave and Monster's University was a little bit of a let down... also not the biggest fan of Finding Dory... but these movies are all still really really good! Compared to all other cartoons out there, there is just something different about these movies that makes them a little better. They are written better, and their animation is so innovative that really it is art to me. Like looking at the videos and photos I've seen of Cars Land in Disney California Adventure especially... The people that make these movies are definitely artists. And if Disney were to do a whole Pixar Land... I think that would just be the most magical place!

I'm going to mention the Pixar Theory too because why not. I don't really think it was intended that they were all planned to connect together... but I think that they kind of unintentionally are... and part of me thinks that's because of The Pixar Lunch. Which is when 4 of the people at Pixar all met for a lunch and ended up with the ideas for 4 movies! A Bugs Life, Monster's Inc, Finding Nemo and Wall E. I feel like you can kind of see a connection there. Bugs are kind of like Monsters. Fish are often referred to as Aliens of The Deep. It makes sense that they went with bugs, monsters, fish and robots all together. And in that way, plus the fact that most of the same creative minds are behind all of these movies... you're going to see some connections. That is for sure!

And I think that they love that this is what their fans think of their movies. They kind of look for ways to hide easter eggs and things now because they know we're looking for it. They've even added an Easter Egg of hiding references to Braveheart so that we connect their movies to Braveheart. Its so funny and just well done. `

And that is everything! I will have 2 more posts coming up today!

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
