Scribbles About Food: Appetizers, Cajun Chicken Littles and Georgia Peach Drink

So I've done this before with the Brunch Menu from Cheesecake Factory... and usually the cheesecake factory menu is a little overwhelming... so I figure if I feel like reviewing food from there... I'll review the food there. Lol.

So this was for my birthday and there were a lot of people there... so we ordered a couple of appetizers... so I'll start off there and then go to my entrée and drink.

Appetizer
So the thing I always really like is the Fried Mac and Cheese. They come out in these huge rice ball- looking things, but there is delicious Mac and Cheese on the inside. Its really good... even better than I remembered. I'm not sure what types of cheeses were in there... I think there was some cheese I didn't normally eat in it... but it was fried... so it was still pretty good! I'd get this again.

The nachos were a little bit of a different kind of chip... Not what I was expecting, but I kind of liked it because it didn't get soggy. The cheese and stuff didn't stick on it that well... but it was still pretty good. It was good to split with the table... it was a pretty big plate, everyone had some and enjoyed them. I was excited that they didn't put olives on it... I don't understand olives. The waitress was very nice and asked if we wanted jalepenos or not... which we didn't and sometimes its easy to forget... so yeah. Remember to ask for them on the side or just not on the chips if everyone doesn't like jalepenos. They're easy enough to pick off... but sometimes you get one by mistake and people don't always like the surprise spicy... so yeah. I don't mind them... but usually I would rather not have them.

Entree

the sauces with it were pretty good too. I forgot all about them! I think one was sort of like honey mustard and the other was sort of like barbecue sauce. Very watery... but not bad.

So for my entree I got the Cajun Chicken Littles... that's what I usually get its a pretty safe option. It's just like chicken strips that are a little spicy, a little extra breading maybe... they're really good. A lot of flavor. The spices on it weren't all that spicy... but if you really don't like spicy things I'd avoid it. If you're okay with spicy things... these probably won't be that spicy to you either... but you'll probably like it. I really liked it!

There were also smashed potatoes with it... which are mashed potatoes with some potato skins and some garlicky stuff in them. Those were really good too. It tasted like potatoes from a box... but sometimes those are good. I don't really think anything is fresh and homemade in store at Cheesecake factory... but still... they took some time to figure out the flavors and stuff I think.

And there was also a corn succotash and that was pretty good too. I think whenever I first got this was my first experience with succotash and it was really good. Its something I might make a point to order just because I do kind of like it as a side.

Its a good serving too. I didn't really have time or room in my stomach to finish everything... so I took it home and I reheated it in the microwave... did not reheat well that way... I would probably recommend reheating the chicken in a pan or the oven and you can reheat the potatoes and corn in the microwave.

Its the thing I probably order the most from Cheesecake Factory and something I would order again. I don't go to Cheesecake Factory all that often... but yeah.

Drink
So for my drink I got the Georgia Peach. This was good. It tasted kind of like peach ring candies... or if you're a makeup fan, the peach palette. It was sweet and cold and refreshing. Good for a hot day... it wasn't really a hot day when I drank it... but still. It was really nice. I'd order it again! Definitely worth a try if you're into sweet alcoholic frozen drinks.

So yeah those are my thoughts on some of the food choices for the Cheesecake Factory... oddly enough, I rarely ever get Cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory. Its not that its bad, its just that there is a dessert I like more at another place inside of the mall.

So yeah... overall servers were nice... it wasn't really great service though. It took a long time for us to get all the things we ordered. My dad ordered a soup and it was quite late by the time they brought it out.

That is everything! Hopefully this was helpful to break down Cheesecake Factory's insanely large menu!

Byeee!

It List: May 2017

Can't believe it's the last day of May... this was a great time for TV... so let's get right into it! 1) Master of None- The second season of this show was really really great! I liked the first season... but this season was just wayyy better to me for some reason... I loved that they had episodes about Italy and about New York... I think they did a really great job and I was so impressed with it... I'll have to watch the first season over again and do a Throwback Thursday on that sometime soon... but until then... season 2 was great! 2) Girl Boss- I finally got around to watching Girl Boss this month too... and I loved that show! At first I wasn't sure if I was going to like it or not... then I just couldn't stop watching it and I finished it in 2 days... which I guess is when I finished all the Netflix shows I'm talking about... but still. Girlboss was definitely really good... and I feel like I could watch this one over and over again too. 3) Unbrea...

Blogmas Day 12: The 12 Days of Christmas Gift Guide

So I thought it would be fun to do a gift guide that every gift corresponds with the price. So like for the first day of Christmas $1 gift that would be good and then up from there. These would be good stocking stutterers and things I just think are unique. $1- Solar Powered Dancers!  My mom loves getting the little dancing solar powered people. We get most of ours from Dollar tree... other dollar stores have them too, they're super cute and fun for $1. Its good to put near any plants that you have that way you know they're getting sunlight. It's a good gift. $2- Mini Coloring Book!  At 5 Below they had some mini travel sized coloring books for $2. I thought these were pretty cool. I got the Botanical one I believe. Really cute and fun! I would recommend! $3-   Ceramic Truck w/ Christmas Tree  I saw this at the Target Dollar Spot and I thought it was cute and would probably make a great gift. If you know someone who has a truck or likes the sort of "rustic C...

Scribbles About Food: Gloria Jeans Pistachio Chiller (kinda like a frap)

So since I'm doing all of the Frappuccino reviews, I thought I would give a shout out to a different coffee chain that I like... maybe even more than Starbucks! But I hardly ever go to it because A) People get your orders wrong there a lot B) I don't really live near one! So Gloria Jeans has some amazing drinks called Chillers that are like Frappuccinos, but they have always had a ton of really good and really interesting flavors. One of my favorite Seasonal ones is the Pistachio Chiller. They had this around this time last year also and its a really good unique flavor. Basically it tastes like pistachio ice cream... but in a frozen coffee form. Its pretty cool! And Pistachio is a pretty underrated flavor in my opinion. I don't get it enough, but I always love Pistachio and Almond flavored desserts and this in particular is really flavorful and just a really good chiller. I don't think there is anything at starbucks that compares to it really, its really different...
