Chart Chat 11.8.16

Hope everyone's voted today! Now onto the top 10 movies! I usually like doing this on Mondays... but since I wanted to encourage voting I thought I'd save it until today!

10) Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children- This has been out for 6 weeks and its still doing pretty well! I feel like thats worth me seeing at least. I still kind of want to read the book first... but I feel old. Lol. I'll watch every Disney or Pixar movie several times, but reading this book makes me feel a little young. Go figure. Anyway, I'm glad this is doing so well and I hope to see or read it soon. I like Eva Green, this looks good!

9) The Girl on the Train- Again, I want to read the book first... but I feel like I know a little too much about it now to really enjoy. I guess not really... but still! Its a book I have to read and a movie I want to see. I love mysteries and Emily Blunt... so this seems like the movie for me because it is a mystery and it does have Emily Blunt. Literally can't get more specific... lol. So yeah! If you like Musicals with Emily Blunt I recommend Into the Woods.

8) Ouija: Origin of Evil- This has been out for 3 weeks. Its still doing pretty well, probably because of Halloween being out. I'm a little freaked out by Ouija board movies just because of the exorcist... but I wasn't all that scared of the exorcist... so yeah. Anyway this also doesn't sound that scary to me because its just a PG-13 horror movie... which usually aren't all that scary, they end up being more gross... so I'm not super into that. So it could be good... I probably won't see it, I don't care that much. Lol.

7) Jack Reacher: Never Go Back- This has gotten pretty good reviews and it doesn't look bad to me at all. I haven't seen Jack Reacher. I'm not big on action movies... so idk if I will... but Tom Cruise is pretty amazing in any action movie he does!

6) The Accountant- I don't know anything about this movie... but apparently you aren't supposed to? At a restaurant I heard this conversation "Did you see The Accountant?" "No, what's it even about." "Well I can't really say without giving it away... but it was really good." So... yeah. If you like mysteries and you like accountants and you like Ben Affleck... this is the most specific movie for you!

5) Inferno- I haven't read the Dan Brown book... or Dante's Inferno even. And I'm sure they're all good but The Da Vinci Code is so over hyped by this point that I don't think I'll ever be able to enjoy it. So at this point I'm just kind of over that? I like Tom Hanks Though, but still. Meh.

4) Boo! A Madea Halloween- Not the biggest Tyler Perry fan... but I do love Halloween! I was surprised this was still doing so well, but it is Halloween week... so that's probably where the popularity happened.

3) Hacksaw Ridge- No idea what this is about, but apparently its the third most popular movie out right now!

2) Trolls- If you like Trolls, and you like Justin Timberlake... then you might like this movie! Lol. I think it looks cute... I'm glad they made the Trolls less ugly... I'm probably never going to see this movie because Gwen Stefani is in it and something terrible always happens to me whenever I listen to her. I feel like I'll still want to see it though cause its animated. Gah! Anyway, I was surprised this isn't #1... I thought that was strange but then I realized it wasn't that strange after all...

1) Doctor Strange-On the news they just said "Why Movie Theaters are getting some Strange medicine." And I was like disgusted like "WHAT? WHY ARE THEY MEDICATING PEOPLE AT THE MOVIE THEATER? ARE THEY DRUGGING PEOPLE TO SEE THE MOVIES?" No. They aren't. It's just Doctor Strange as Number 1. I don't like Marvel movies much... but Benedict Cumberbatch is pretty hot in this... so I kind of want to see it.

And that is everything! Hope everyone has a good day!

Bye!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
