Weekly Wrap Up Thanksgiving Edition: 11/27/16

Favorites
I honestly don't remember my favorites... this week was kind of a blur... so let's just kinda wing it?

The Middle- I thought that this weeks episode of The Middle was good. It was sad... but good. I was surprised that they kind of "went there" with the Axl and April story... but I liked it!

Charlie Brown Thanksgiving- I love this! It's so cute to see Snoopy cooking up "Thanksgiving dinner." I love it!

Simply Christmas by Leslie Odom, Jr.- I listened to this while cleaning the bathroom. Really good! Definitely like it a lot!

Life Scribbles
-Monday I went grocery shopping with my Mom at a place called Delicious Orchards... I think they don't usually open on Mondays... but they're pretty crazy the Monday before Thanksgiving... and yeah. They were packed. We also went to Target and some other grocery stores. I ate Onion Soup... it was a good day.
-Tuesday I think I ate food again... lol.
-Wednesday I helped my mom clean and chop and we had dinner out and it was yummy.
-Thursday was Thanksgiving.
-Anddddd Friday and Saturday I got sick.

TV Highlights
Other than what I already mentioned... Colbert and Life in Pieces... which I'm starting to like a lot!
Noteworthy Snacks

News and World Events
Kanye West showed up hours late to his concert, played about 3 songs and went on a 15 minute rant about Jay Z and Beyonce hiring people to kill him... and then checked into a hospital for exhaustion. His tour dates have been cancelled and I believe people are getting refunds already... so... yeah...

Speaking of music: The AMAs were on! Lots of great performances, I was super impressed with Shawn Mendes... I don't know why I wasn't expecting him to be good... but he was really good. Green Day too. Selena Gomez gave a really great speech and I'm proud of her. She's someone I thought maybe wasn't the swiftest cat in the wild... but she seemed very smart, mature and together.

Mike Pence said that he didn't take offense to the cast of Hamilton speaking their mind... Revolutionary!

The Cars 3 trailer was released... this doesn't seem like a big deal if you've seen Cars 2... but trust me... watch the trailer! It seems like this is going to be the dark side of Pixar that we haven't really seen in the Cars movies... I'll link it in the clickables.

Thoughts
Thanksgiving and the Holidays are always kind of unpredictable. A few years ago I was waking up early to go shopping on Black Friday, then I was working it, last year I was getting my Bridesmaid dress for my sisters wedding and this year I was sick and slept through most of it... you can never tell what will happen... so just try to enjoy what you can and take care of yourself.

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
