Woman Crush Wednesday: Garfunkel and Oates

1) They're both super funny separate and together-Riki Lindhome and Kate Micucci are both incredibly funny people. Although the pair totally shines together, they're both super funny on their own as well. Kate was great as Raj's socially awkward girlfriend on The Big Bang Theory and Riki's been on At Midnight by herself and she's been super funny. They don't lean on each other for laughs, they support each other which makes them even funnier.

2) They're songs are super funny and super real- I feel like there are a lot of comedy musicians out there, and a lot of them have crazy outlandish songs that aren't real things that can happen. I can listen to a Garfunkel and Oates song and be like "ohhh that happened to me" or "ohhh I know someone that did that," it's like they're saying things that I've thought but wouldn't say out loud. Like "Pregnant Women are Smug" everyone knows it, nobody says it because they're pregnant! So funny and true right? Lol.

3) They aren't afraid to talk about the grosser things about being a woman- They talk about things that are too gross to talk about usually. Most guys have no problem talking about masturbating or what Christmas is like when you're high... But I feel like girls don't talk about that as much, even in comedy. I guess it's not unheard of at all, but it's still nice that girls talk about this stuff? Lol girls are just as gross and sleazy as guys and I'm sick of acting like were not. We can do The Fadeaway too! It's not just your thing!

4) They're actually pretty good musicians- Even if they weren't just a comedy band, I think they'd be really good musicians. They're voices are good other than just being a joke. I listen to Flight Of The Conchords more than most comedy bands because they can actually sound good. It's not just a joke or anything, I like their voice.

5) They make good points- The episode on this week is actually already up on YouTube and it was shown as a preview of their show and they talk about how they don't speak to their blind dates and they both end up having the guys really like them and they feel connected because they aren't talking. I mean just in friendships some times I feel like I listen a lot more than I talk, not a bad thing but sometimes I wonder about the friendships lol.

So that's about it. I definitely say watch this show because it's totally awesome and has a lot of good guest stars. It's funny and you'll probably like it!

BYEEEE!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...
