Throwback Thursday: My Trip To Europe!

Heyyyyy so for today's throwback Thursday I'm going to do something a little bit different. I thought I had found my old diary and I was going to post something from that that would have been inspirational and it probably would have been helpful for high school freshman... But I couldn't actually find that journal. Go figure. Anyhoo I found a Travel Journal from when I went to Europe, so I thought hey why not read from that for something different.

This isn't like a private journal of my innermost thoughts and feelings or anything, it's just little updates from the trip, I went as a sort of school trip, teachers looked at this... It's just basically a summary of what happened kind of. Here's a short entry from The Black Forest in Germany:

Right now we are in the Black Forest. We saw a demonstration about how coukou (I don't know if I'm spelling this right) clocks are made. It was actually really funny and interesting.

Dinner tonight was not pasta! I was really excited for this at first, but then I had a sudden craving for pasta. We had barbeque and it was really good.

We took a hike in the Black Forest tonight. It was really beautiful. I never liked hikes really until I went on this trip. I still don't think I would like them in a New Jersey Forest because they aren't as beautiful.

I'm so happy I could go on this trip. It really is amazing and I've made a lot of new friends because of it. Sometimes I'm kind of tired and frustrated about little things, but it really is amazing. I love it here.

This was really undetailed about the trip. I wish I wrote about where I was and anything about how they actually made coukou clocks. Seriously it was amazing that we got a demonstration about it but I don't remember a damn thing about it! Lol I do remember where I stayed though, it was this smaller hotel that looked like a coukou clock. There was a little show with this animatronic coukou clock figurines that came out and danced, it looked a lot like "It's a Small World" kind of. It was really cute.

I was also a little nervous and excited because we had a home stay in Germany and I didn't really know what to expect. We stayed with an actual German family and we went to school with them and hung out with them. It was scary at first when I heard about it, but I had emailed with her a bit and I was excited to meet her, and everything worked out and her family was really nice and reminded me of my own family. The school was interesting too.

I just thought it would be kind of fun to share a bit about my trip and how I feel about it now. I know I have a really detailed story... Well actually a few really detailed stories probably in my personal journal from high school and I kind of want to find that to have a more personal look back at everything.

Anyway, that's all for this (slightly late) Throwback Thursday. Let me know if you traveled or if you want to know more travel tales.

Movie review tomorrow for a movie I really enjoyed!

Byeeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
