This episode again was good, but also... It's already sort of wrapped up and there isn't a whole lot happening right now. It's all a bit predictable and it hasn't been bad and this was not a bad episode at all,but it's trying to wrap up. Nothing was really out of the ordinary here.
Sooo where to begin... The part where Bill released Jessica was super moving. I thought that was the most emotional moment of the series possibly. Jessica is really the anchor for Bill to me. If it wasn't for Jessica,I would completely hate Bill and I'd be super happy that he's dying, but he's such a good maker to her and him choosing to die and releasing her and saying how proud he is of her...it's just sad. Jessica should be able to live all her lives with her maker the way Pam has with Eric because it's just that kind of relationship. It's also the only good parent-child relationship, other than Gran Stackhouse and the other Stackhouse grandparents and great grandparents really. Anyway it was moving. I also love that Pam held her because Pam was really like a second maker to Jessica. She wouldn't do that for just any vampire, but Jessica is like her own so that's nice.
I also liked the conversation between Eric and Bill about Sookie and why Bill was choosing to die. It shows that the two vampires really do both care for Sookie. Bill wants Sookie to be free of him and other vampires which is why he is choosing to die. Eric agrees with Bill for his decision, but at the same time he knows Sookie needs a vampire. Eric will protect her and he comforts her... At least I hope this.
I think that's what kind of made the end more exciting. Like what on earth is going to happen! The trueblood guys know that Sookie knows about the NewBlood and he captured Pam and threatened to kill her if he didn't tell him that Sookie knew... I was half expecting Eric to lie and get Pam killed, but he didn't. He said Sookie knows and now they're after her! I don't think Eric is going to let them kill her, and Bill is at her door and if he survives, as weak as he is I'm sure he'll protect Sookie... But I half expect him to be a pile of Blood when Sookie opens the door. Not sure what to think.
Anyhoo I've already mentioned I wasn't crazy about Jessica and Hoyt getting back together. I'm still not but I'm glad she told him first and I'm glad that Jason just laid down and talked to Bridgette. It's nice to see Jason change. He's one of those annoying people that just reminds me of that stupid guy everyone dates at some point in their existence usually. This humanizes him and it's just really nice.
I also love Arlene's storyline. It's just cute, just what she needs and I'm glad that she's really helping a Sookie trying to restart her life. It's nice after all she's been through that she's now in love with a vampire lol.
I already kind of know what I'm expecting for the finale. In most of the trueblood finale's they wrap up the events of the season within the first half hour, usually earlier and then they show the aftermath of what happens to Bon Temps a few months after the aftermath and teases new problems to come. This will probably be no different. They will end things early and show us that everything is okay in Bon Temps and it'll probably show Holly and Andy's wedding, which I'm looking forward to seeing!
I've been liking this season, it might not be the most exciting, but I'm glad the show is wrapping up nicely. I'm not saying I'm happy it's ending, but it's about time now. It's ending on an okay note and that's all that matters.
