Scribbles About Food: TGI Fridays Chicken Tostado Nachos Review

Alright... so when it comes to TGI Fridays... I need to learn not to veer off from my usual. I pretty much always get the Sesame Jack Chicken Strips... I don't think I'm ever not going to order that again. This was... disgusting.

I don't cook... and I can make better nachos than this... it was just awful. They were these chips and the chips themselves were fine. They were a good shape and they were nice. There was spicy chicken on them, which wasn't bad but there wasn't much on and it was so spicy that it distracted from any other flavor trying to get in there... which was a good thing because everything else was kind of horrible.

These had like a weird sauce on the top that was like a velveta beschemel type sauce... and it did not taste like how nachos should taste. It was just sitting on top of the chip and it was just... bad. They also put parmesan cheese on top it looked like... which is not my favorite type of cheese to begin with and it doesn't belong on a nacho in my opinion.

There were also wayyyy too many black beans on it... it did not look appetizing at all because it just looked like bugs or olives were on top... it was just black beans, so it didn't taste bad... but it just didn't look good and it made it that much less appealing. Especially since it looked like bugs and the parmesan sat on top looking weird too... I would have taken a picture of this... but it was just too gross looking... I never really want to see it again lol.

The service was also pretty bad too. The food came out really fast, so the nachos were lukewarm... and the server was nice enough about it... but that shouldn't have happened in the first place. It was not a busy day at all... so it wasn't like the kitchen was backed up... and I think they purposefully made me wait after that because I sent it back... so idk about TGI Fridays anymore. I love their food and drinks and it's fun and affordable there and my favorite place around the mall... but I think I've only ever gotten my order right when it hasn't been busy... so go figure! You never know what to expect with these restaurants.

So there's my extremely honest review of the Tostado Nachos from TGI Fridays... ugh. Don't get these. Your stomach will thank you if you don't order these. Lol.

Bye!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...
