Weekly Wrap Up 3/12/17

Favorites

The Most Popular Girls In School- I started watching this show again recently... I think I saw Brittany Matthews Facebook page for National Women's Day and I just thought "Ohhh that was funny... I'm going to watch this again." And I have been... and Brittney Matthews is my Spirit animal.

Divide by Ed Sheeran- Ed Sheeran is so talented. *dreamy sigh* this is just such a good cd. It has a lot of Irish sounding music and some Spanish-sounding music and some rap... and some other stuff... that's the only way I can describe it... it's really one of the best cds out recently... I love it!

Friends- I was kind of just mad at the world on Wednesday... for no real reason... just the time of the month... anyway... the only thing not making me mad was Friends, the TV show. Idk why I was like "yeah... I'm going to watch friends now." But I think I'm going to start watching it again... I'll probably do Throwback Thursdays because that's what I do... and it'll be good! I like the show a lot and it's been good! I pretty much watch it nonstop every few years and then I get tired of it and don't watch it for a year or 2 and then I watch it nonstop again

News and World Events

Wednesday was International Woman's Day... I did some blogs on that on my Feminist blog... so that was good. I'll link that in the clickables maybe.

Mac Cosmetics will now be sold at Ulta stores... I think that's kind of cool... I'm a little shocked... but I'll be more inclined to try Mac products now that they're at Ulta and I can get points for it. It's kind of a bad thing for Mac but a good thing for Ulta!

Other makeup related news Anastasia Beverly Hills had a robbery in their labs. Apparently it was 4.5 Million Dollars worth of the Modern Renaissance Palettes... which is probably my favorite palette... so just be careful if you're buying a Modern Renaissance palette from Ebay or something... be careful of that anyway... but especially now. Lol.

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck called off their divorce! They're working on their marriage and decided to stay together! Good for them! I hope that the two are happy together. Everyone says she's one of the nicest people in Hollywood and I don't really like Ben Affleck and what he did to her... but she loves him and she always praises him as a father... so I'm glad they've worked things out. Props to anyone that works on their relationship! I'm sure that it

Speaking of the Afflecks... Brie Larson has spoken out about not applauding Casey Affleck when she presented his Oscar win... by not speaking about it. She said that the action spoke for itself. Affleck settled out of court for a Sexual Assault case while filming the movie he directed with Joaquin Phoenix... Denzel should have probably won anyway. I didn't see any of the movies... but Denzel should have probably won. I do still kind of want to see Manchester by the Sea because I love Michelle Williams... but yeah. Denzel!

In Celebrity donation news: Some of the Cast and Crew of Hamilton donated a portion of the money that they made on Wednesday- International Woman's Day- to Dress for Success. And Chance the Rapper donated 1 Million Dollars to Chicago Schools.

Noteworthy Snacks

I had some good lasagna this week...

Chocolate Coconut Dove Eggs. Yum.

Music
Aside from the Ed Sheeran CD, Crazy Ex Girlfriend Season 2's soundtrack. Pretty good!

Quotes
"It's like a Cow's Opinion- It Doesn't Matter. It's Moo." - Joey Tribiani explaining a "Moo Point" on friends!

Thoughts
It's always fun to revisit things you used to like a lot... that's what I've been doing a lot lately at least. I've watched Dr. Horrible and Chicago again and then 2 of the things I mentioned as favorites this week are old favorites!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
