Man Crush Monday: Louis Ck 200TH POST!!!!!

Today is my 200th post and I figured I would make it a very special Man Crush Monday and post about my favorite male comedian of the moment and that is Louis Ck.

I think that he is one of the funniest people that exists like in the whole world. And like his humor is so simple, but it's something that I don't think anyone other than him could pull off! He is just absolutely fantastic, one of the funniest people alive. And he jokes about a lot of things too! He has jokes about masturbating, and about literature, about horrible thoughts he has and the stupid and mean kids in his kids class. If you're somehow living under a rock and haven't seen any of his stand up, go watch it right now! He is the funniest person ever and I can listen to his stand up all day... and I pretty much have and it does not get old to me.

His show is one of the funniest shows on tv too! It's just so brilliant. I love that there's a balance between humor and the heartwarming nature of the show, I really like that in my tv shows. I like that he's pretty much in every day situations, but somehow they are completely ridiculous and hilarious and sometimes even very sad. There's the totally outrageous factor of everything happening on the show, but it is still very very real and that makes it really great. And its really different that he has like 2 mini episodes in one show along with some standup in between. The season finale for season 3 is one of the most brilliant things I've ever seen and I haven't seen much of this season... but I have a feeling it is getting even more brilliant now.

He also seems like he's a really nice guy and a great dad. He seems super friendly on every interview I've seen with him, he seems to get along with other comedians... he even had frickin Dane Cook on his show after Dane Cook allegedly stole a lot of his material. The guy is great. He also won't work on the days that he has his kids because his dad wasn't around for him and he wants to be there for his kids. That's not something that every dad- famous or not- would do and I think it's nice that his kids really are the most important thing to him.

I remember seeing his show on HBO years ago and I didn't like it because it really grossed me out at  the time. He just seemed like such a slob and the woman playing his wife was really pretty and one of their friends or neighbors was a slob and he had a heart attack but still ate badly after. The wife also had to collect a stool sample from him which I thought was just the grossest thing and I think some of the sex jokes grossed me out too. It just didn't seem like this guy would be the hilarious and amazing person that he is today based on that show alone.

But his stand up has always been really funny to me. I saw an older "comedy half hour" special with him and he was really young and cute and he was super funny. I think he has gotten a lot better, but it's rare that someone starts out really funny and then stays really funny.

So that is my man crush for this Monday. I just really admire Louis Ck and hope to be as funny as he is and still not be overwhelmed by fame some day... hopefully soon.

Byeeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...
