Heyy guys, so I recently got Stila's Mint Julep Smudgestick eyeliner, and I wasn't quite sure what type of eye look to pair it with. I thought that this eye look would be nice and neutral in order for the eyeliner to pop more. I also did a more glowy skin look because that's what I've been digging lately. This has sort of been my go-to look for a little while, so sometimes I switch up the face products, I'm using some new stuff here and I really love the way it turned out.
So first on the face I used Benefit's Porefessional Primer. This was my first time using it and I really liked it. I'll have a more in depth review soon. Then I used my Rimmel Stay Matte foundation. This is a mattifying foundation, but because of the liquid mousse texture, it works well with the glowy dewey skin look. I like it. I used some under my eyes to conceal a bit more too.
Then I took my Elf small stipple brush and my NYC Sunny Bronzer and I took that over the hollows of my cheek, my forehead and my neck a little. Just lightly bronzed and contoured my face. Then I applied my sephora Microsmooth duo blush in the shade Guava Glow to the apples of my cheeks. I liked the way this looks. This was the first time I used my Elf Small Stipple brush with my Bronzer... And it did a really good job. I liked it. Then I took a bit of the lightest shade in the Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips and used that as a highlight. I also decided to go in with my Physicians formula Nude Wear concealer under my eyes.
Then I moved onto the eyes! I primed my eyes with Maybeline's color Tattoo in inked in pink. I like this because it makes my eyeshadow stay longer, plus it gives a rosey glow to my eyeshadow, so bonus. I used my Wet n Wild Comfort Zone palette for the eyes. I realized this had greens in it. So it went kind of well with the green eyeliner. So I used the eyelid shade on the left side of the palette all over the lid and then I used the crease shade from that side in the crease. Usually I end there, but I decided to make this a little more golden and shiny, so I went back into the shimmer strips and swirled my accent brush from real techniques in and used that on the inner third of my eye. I also took the brow one shade from the right side of the palette and used that in the inner corner and a little bit onto the inner third of my eyelid.
Next I applied the star of the show: the Mint Julep Smudgestick under my eye.this is sooo easy to use it took like a second. It just glided right on. I also decided I wanted to line my upper lashline with a darker colorso I used a dark green crease shade from the right side of the comfort zone palette and did that.
After all that, I sprayed myself with the Nyx Dewey Finish setting spray and then did my mascara wi my favorite: the L'oreal butterfly mascara and used my Buxum lipgloss in the shade Shannon.
So that is it for my spring look. Hope you guys enjoyed it. It's neutral enough for everyday use, but different enough to catch attention. I love it!
Byeeeee!
-Shannon.
P.S Here are two more Selfies just cause I'm bad at including pics in this blog and its helpful to see multiples!
