Scribbles About Movies: Trailer Reviews

Sooo I figured I haven't done this in a while... and there are some trailers I want to talk about... sooooo... The Night Before- Joseph Gordan Levitt, Seth Rogen and Anthony Mackie, who is a Marvel guy I didn't know about star in a Bromantic Comedy about 3 grown men that spend every Christmas together because JGL's parents died on Christmas and they made a promise to spend every Christmas together, and this is the last night of the tradition because Mackie is famous and Rogen is becoming a dad. So they party it up and do shrooms and coke and have a grand Christmas... this movie doesn't really look good to me. In any way. I love Seth Rogen and JGL,  Mindy Kaling, Lizzie Caplan and Jillian from Workaholics are also in this movie... but it just looks bad. Not only bad... but its been done before. If it gets good reviews or something, I'll see it... but somehow I don't think it will and I don't think I will. I'm gonna guess this movie will be a D.  Zoola

Scribbles About TV: Scream Queens Review

So one of the shows I was most excited about this fall season was Scream Queens. Its a really great horror movie satire that pokes fun at some shows like it and... its just an interesting show. Its created by Ryan Murphy from American Horror Story and Glee and it is sort of like a combo of the two. Its a lot bitchier than Glee, and its definitely a funny comedy... American Horror story is kind of a serious comedy depending on the season... There are definitely a lot of funny elements to most American Horror Story seasons, and for the most part they end pretty happily... so there is that too. Alright so onto Scream Queens... it was a lot better than I was expecting it to be! Its really exciting and super funny and a very dark parody. I thought it was really just as brilliant as Scream... it was just awesome. There is a scene where the killer goes after someone... trying not to spoil to much... and he texts her asking if she wants to dance with the devil and then she texts him back and

Chart Chat 9/28/15

This is always a fun one. Lets Check out the charts! Music - iTunes top 5  5) Locked Away by  R City ft. Adam Levine- This is a pretty song... Adam Levine kind of creeps me out though so... yeah. I don't listen to it much. I don't think I like the rapper in the song that much either... if this is a rap song... he's just not really my favorite... but not a terrible song. 4) Wildest Dreams by Taylor Swift- I like this song... probably not my favorite from her 1989 singles... I think I like it better than Bad Blood and Shake it off... but not much else. Its not a terrible song it just isn't my thing. I have a feeling thats how this chart is going to be. 3) What Do You Mean by Justin Bieber- This song is actually bad. A few weeks ago he was singing it on The Today Show and he got angry and you could hear him throwing a tantrum... that was a funny video. Plus live they have to play the song in the background while he's singing... I hate when they do that. Its pre

Favorites  Green Mountain Pumpkin Spice K Cups- I know everyone is on a massive Pumpkin Spice K Cup Hunt right now and... yeah. Its hard to find one that is good and tastes pumpkiny, but also still tastes like coffee and is actually good. Out of the two I've tried, this is the one I like. Lol. I didn't really like the Stop and Shop brand K Cup... those tasted kind of like a candle and had a little too much spice. This actually tastes good. Like something you would get at Starbucks or something. Its yummy and just tastes really nice. I like it a lot. The Muppets- I really liked the premier of this show. I think it's going to be so good. It was really funny and its not just like a kids show. When they say "its not your grandma's muppets"... I mean it is and thats good and stuff... but I don't know. I was expecting it to be like a kid's 30 Rock... but I think its more of a kids Bojack Horseman... which isn't a kids show at all really. lol. I liked

Scribbles About News: September

1) Woman Does Random Act of Kindness for a Police Officer, and it went viral- An unnamed woman went into the Arvada Police Department in Colorado and asked to see a police officer to give him a hug and express her sadness about the police officers that have been killed recently and to thank them for the hard work that they do. She didn't give her name or ask for anything, she just wanted them to know that she appreciated their work. What a nice story! There are lots of awful stories out there, and really if you appreciate the work someone is doing, give them a hug, let them know!  This was just a nice story. The police officer was very happy, and I thought that was just a lovely sentiment. 2) Kim Davis- Alrighty didn't want to talk about this asshole last week... but lets bring her up this week. Kim Davis is a county clerk that denied giving marriage licenses to gay couples that were about to get married saying that it was her religious freedom to deny them this constitutiona

Scribbles About TV: Supernatural Season 1 part 2

Faith  This episode was good. Also kind of X-files-y. I really liked it. I liked that Sam knew what it was right away but there was still a twist element to it of who was doing it and who had to die for it and stuff like that. And this was one I kind of bought. I believe in miracles and I'm sure they happen every day... but I think a lot of people exploit the belief in miracles for profit and I also think people rely too heavily on miracles and don't do anything about it. Its like hoping you win the lottery but never buying a ticket. Miracles could happen... but if theres a plan b that you can do to help in the event that you don't win the lottery... like getting a job, saving money... those sorts of things... That helps a lot. Also I loved Layla, I thought she and Dean had great chemistry and I loved that her mom just did not like Dean. It seemed very real and I kinda hope they bring Layla back. She was good. Route 666  I was excited by the name of this one. I though

Scribbles About Food: Pumpkin Spice Latte M&Ms

So M&Ms put out a new fall flavor and naturally... I had to try it and here is a review. Now M&Ms had a pumpkin flavor last year, and it was not fantastic. It just tasted like normal M&Ms and it wasn't great. It wasn't bad but the flavor wasn't there. They also have Candy Corn M&Ms which are nice... but nothing with the "candy corn" flavor gets the real flavor of candy corn. Its just a super sweet white chocolate m&m. And that is basically it. So with that being said, I really wanted to try them... but I wasn't expecting much. I didn't think they would be very flavorful, I didn't know if the latte flavor would work. But I was wrong. These are really delicious, they're incredibly flavorful and it isn't weird. It is a little bit too sweet, you can't eat like a whole bag and not realize it... you'll notice lol. But they just taste so good and the flavors just work really really well together. Its such a unique and

Scribbles About TV: The Muppets Review

This was the show I was most excited about... but also the one I was most scared of. I love The Muppets and I've been following all the press for this of corse... who hasn't been right? But I was worried because I knew it wasn't really going to be the muppets I grew up with... and it wasn't... but thats okay. It's not exactly a kids show, not exactly an adult's show. You could watch it with kids I think... it isn't like there are any racey jokes or anything... but this is what I've heard online and it is true... the emotions of the characters make it an adult show. There's a lot of sad themes that kids won't exactly be able to relate to like Kermit's breakup with Miss Piggy and Fozzie being scared his girlfriend's parents won't like him. Its emotions kids won't understand but its relatable for grown ups because its the muppets. Its not unlike Bojack Horseman actually... but not quite as sad and it is kid friendly... but somethin

How To-sday: How To Revamp Your Room

So... I've been kind of re-decorating my room and just kind of re-vamping it all together... re-arranging stuff and its been hard and time consuming, but ultimately its been fun and its worth it. My room is very small and I have a lot of stuff... I'm kind of a "collector/hoarder" lol. There's just a lot of stuff and a little bit of room... once I started my Funko Pop collection I kind of knew that I needed to re arrange some things and re-do my room a little bit... these are kind of the steps I went for that. 1) Decide where to move things around- Basically... this whole thing started because I had too many shoes near my door in my room and I didn't like that... so I wanted to have a sort of storage place for my everyday shoes and put that near my door that way I can just grab them and leave easily.  I had a little storage cube in mind for what I wanted to use and then I thought "well if I move that over there I can move something else in the corner w

Man Crush Monday: Sam and Dean Winchester

I've been watching Supernatural recently and I'm quite a fan of the two brothers that are the main characters of the show. Mainly, because they're hot... but they are also pretty cool characters and I figured they are MCM worthy. 1) They don't always get along, but they work well together- There are so many times when they fight and disagree. Its very like Mulder and Scully where one would relate more to one thing and the other to another... Sometimes Sam sees "this is important this is supernatural" and sometimes Dean is like "no I don't really see the point" and sometimes its the other way around. They both work well together though and they respect the other's needs for investigating a certain thing. They're both very understanding of one another and they just work really well. 2) They're able to see past the problems and jealousy that they have with each other- There are so many times when Sam thinks Dean is their dads favorit

Weekly Wrap Up: 9/20/15

Favorites  Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D- I don't really follow the Marvel Universe and I don't think my reasoning for it is very good. Basically I didn't like the first Iron Man movie and I just haven't given the other movies a chance... So basically I just saw a little bit of the first Iron Man, didn't like it and then saw The Avengers and really liked that and then I was like "meh I don't like Marvel."But I feel like because I did like The Avengers... and it isn't like I didn't like Iron Man in The Avengers, I thought he was cool and I really like the character and stuff... I just don't like the first Iron Man movie... so I think I should give some of the other movies a chance and definitely see Age of Ultron and maybe even see Iron Man 2 and Iron Man 3 because I honestly really like Black Widow. I also love Guardians of The Galaxy... so I can't say I just don't like Marvel because clearly I like some of their stuff... l

Scribbles About Movies: The Scorch Trials Review (Stop Unnecessary Gun Violence in Movies)

This isn't something that I was expecting to blog about today... but I'm sort of glad I am because at least somehow or another this is getting out there. I saw the movie The Scorch Trials today... and I was really excited for it. The Maze Runner movie was great and I liked the Scorch Trials better as a book... but this movie was just terrifying and I feel awful for actually supporting it and paying to see it. First off... there was nothing similar to the book... at all. There was basically no plot to the movie. There was maybe one scene that was the same in the movie as it was in the book... but that was all. The book had some really good characters and there was just a lot abut the book that I absolutely loved and the movie had no plot. They changed things right from the beginning. For one: There was no psychic ability thing between Thomas and Theresa... which was a big plot point. There was just a lot that they neglected where its like "huh... wonder why they did t

Scribbles About TV: The Mindy Project Season 4 premiere

Soooo The Mindy Project has its new home on Hulu... but it is the same Mindy Project. I thought that the first episode was really great. It had Joseph Gordon Levitt in it... what's not to love? lol. Plus  Mindy's parents! It was great. So I liked seeing the old characters from the first three seasons and they were all the same. Mindy, Danny, and Morgan were all the same. Plus Mark Duplass back as Deloreon... who is one of my favorite guest actors ever... I kind of wanted him and Mindy to get together even though he's kind of an ass... I just thought he was really funny and I like chis character and his whole dynamic was really cool... but anyway I really liked seeing him again and everyone else and that they were the same characters. It didn't seem different like Arrested Development or Community... it felt like it was the same as the other seasons. It was good. So Danny went off to see Mindy's Parents and confessed his love of Mindy to them... but it was to t

Scribbles About TV: Supernatural Season 1 pt 1

So, I've been Watching Arrow lately and loving it and I thought why not watch another CW show. I also have been watching The X Files again and loving it and thought why not watch another paranormal type of show. Enter Supernatural. This show has 10 seasons already... so I'm late to the game... but thats okay. I thought I'd break it down for you guys. Pilot  I remember watching this when it aired I think. I'm pretty sure this is the only episode I watched... this was probably before DVR so I think I missed the first little bit, didn't pay attention to much else and just watched a little bit said "ohhh that was good" and then completely forgot about it. Now that I watch it I'm amazed at how well it held up. This was 10 years ago, yet the technology is all good, the premise is really good and even the music and fashion doesn't seem that dated. It makes sense and it holds up pretty well I think. I also like that it was a "monster of the week&qu

Woman Crush Wednesday: Jemma Simmons from Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D

So I just finished the episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D called FZZT which mainly focuses around Jemma Simmons from the Fitz-Simmons dream team of scientists in S.H.I.E.L.D. She really isn't the main character of the show or anything, but she's a really great character, and here are some things I like about her. 1) She's the smartest person in the room- In a room filled with brilliant agents and really strong and daring people... she's definitely the smartest person in the room all the time... which is impressive. She is kind of the Comic Relief to the show, but her brains make her one of the most interesting characters by far. She'll solve whatever problem they have and has really saved the day several times during the show, which is awesome. She may not be a regular field agent, but she is just as valuable as everyone else and she is awesome. 2) She is the only person that can cure the disease... and unfortunately the only person that contracted it- In FZZT its
