Throwback Thursday: Bad Moms Review

This is kind of a different Throwback Thursday... it isn't much of a Throwback either... this movie came out last summer- but I never saw it until recently. Still haven't finished Season 3 of Friends... and I've seen the first Despicable Me again recently and the Amazing Spider Man movies... but I kind of want to do those reviews a little differently... so Bad Moms!

I didn't just watch this movie either... so I've had a while to kind of think about it. I thought it was a really funny movie. I'm excited for A Bad Mom's Christmas because this is a movie I could watch again and again... it's just really good.

Let's talk about the leads of the movie: Kristin Bell, Mila Kunis and Katheryn Hahn... they all just worked amazingly together. They're all very funny women... I think Katheryn Hahn is better known for being in comedies... she isn't exactly a household name- but she's been in pretty much every movie! And I think they've all been in movies together... Kristin Bell and Mila Kunis were in Forgetting Sarah Marshall together and they had great chemistry. Katheryn Hahn did as well... they just really worked well together and it genuinely seemed like they had a really fun time with this movie!

The movie also went over kind of a lot for a movie... I could almost see this being a tv show. Some Spoilers Here: Mila Kunis finds out her husband is cheating on her, she stops caring about her job, she runs for PTA President or whatever, she befriends some of the other moms that also feel like just being bad moms, she has her relationship with the hot dad... it's a lot for one movie and it keeps you interested in everything. There's definitely a lot of stuff going on.

Christina Applegate was also really funny in this. She reminded me a little bit of her character on Friends... but more uptight. It was just very funny. She's wayyy funnier than she gets credit for. Anything I've seen her in, she's always been super funny. I'm probably most excited about her character in the sequel because she's a lot different at the end of the movie than at the beginning... so that I feel like gives a hint of the sequel maybe... maybe not... idk. I think she'll join the other 3 bad moms and party and cause trouble. Super interested in this sequel!

It was an R rated comedy... so it was pretty raunchy comedy... but still one that you could watch with your mom or sister and enjoy... I watched it with my mom- and there weren't that many awkward moments... so it didn't feel totally uncomfortable.

I also really loved the end credit scene where all the actresses had their moms come in and they talked to them. I thought that was really sweet and very funny. Those were really their moms and it was just a really good way to end the movie. I hope that they have them in the sequel talking about their Christmas traditions or something. It was pretty cool!

That is everything I have to say about this movie... hope you guys like this review! I recommend checking it out!

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
