The Internet and Cartoons? Disney Emoji Commercial, Ralph Breaks the Internet, The Emoji Movie.

So this is kind of a weird post… but I just saw a really cute commercial on The Disney Channel while watching Toy Story 2… and I thought it deserved a blog post. Plus I thought I’d connect it with some other things.

The advertisement was for the Disney Emoji app that they have out now and I guess they have new Steamboat Willie Emojis… so they kind of did the Steamboat Willie Cartoon, but with the emojis and with different phone-related things and it was just really really cute!

I thought it was just going to be like a regular commercial just showing that Steamboat Willie emojis… but then they sort of had it like it was a conversation between Mickey Mouse and Pete, I guess. They showed a meme of pete looking angry and it said “I’m the Captain Now” which I thought was really funny… and they had like an audio message of Mickey Mouse Whistling and then they had an Uber like thing called “Hoyst” that gave an update on their boat… it was pretty funny! I just thought it was really cute all in all.

And I was going to make this a post just about that commercial… but there are so many sort of “internet-y Disney and Cartoon type things going on… I can’t not talk about those… so I thought I’d give those a shout out too… I think this would be kind of cute if in the new Wreck It Ralph movie they had an easter egg for the Disney Emoji app… I know it’s “Ralph Breaks the Internet” because Ralph has to go into the internet and break it so that he can save the Sugar Rush game or whatever… I haven’t seen the D23 panel on it yet… it is on The Dis- so I’ll try to link that in here too… it was just kind of cool. I thought the concept seemed really cool and kind of like the first Wreck it Ralph and it’s even poking fun at itself and at Disney… it sounds like it’s almost like The Lego Movie, Wreck it Ralph and The Emoji Movie all combined.

And I thought I’d mention The Emoji movie too… The Emoji Movie isn’t a Disney movie… but when I saw the trailer I was kind of like “ohhh this is wreck it ralph but with emoji’s.” And I’m sure it’s different enough… but kind of the same. Meh doesn’t want to be a Meh, Ralph doesn’t want to be a bad guy… there was just kind of a lot in there and idk… it seemed a little like they were taking things from Wreck it Ralph… and I kind of wonder if Ralph was delayed (because it was supposed to be released a few months earlier) partially because this Emoji movie sounds so similar… but I also wonder if that’s why they brought in some of the Disney elements to it also… idk. It was a good move on Disney’s part because the first Wreck it Ralph was amazing, and I’m sure better than the Emoji Movie… plus this new Wreck it Ralph looks better than the Emoji movie… I like the idea that there’s more to Emoji’s than meets the eye… but at the same time I don’t totally want to see it because I think it’s just a less good version of Wreck it Ralph. Idk though, I love TJ Miller, who is voicing Meh… so that’s kind of cool in my opinion. He’s got the perfect voice for Meh. And Anna Faris is in it too and I love Anna Faris… so it’ll probably be pretty great! Let’s hope so at least .Lol.

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
