So I saw this tag from my friend badkittybeauty... and I like movies... so I thought it would be fun!
1) What's one movie you think is overrated?
Titanic... I haven't watched the full movie... I refuse to... but it's not the best movie ever made... it's a little bit meh. You know what happens... there's a love story but it isn't that romantic... it kind of just sucks. Lol. Not a fan.
2) What's one movie you think is underrated?
I think Tangled is an underrated Disney Movie. I love it. Rapunzel is my favorite Princess... I think it's really funny and the songs are all really good. It's one of my favorites and I just really like it.
3) Movie I love?
My Big Fat Greek Wedding. This is one of my favorite movies of all time... if not my favorite... I can watch it whenever it's on. The sequel was hilarious! I just think it's such a clever movie that I find totally relatable!
4) Movie I secretly love?
You, Me and Dupree... a lot of people think it's an awful movie... I think it's one of the funniest movies ever... I could still watch it and enjoy it... it's one I could watch whenever and still laugh!
5) Favorite Action Movie?
I'm going to say 21 Jump Street... I would consider that more of an action movie than anything and it's just a really really good movie. So funny and clever. The sequel was really clever too... not quite as funny though... but it's a great movie.
6) Favorite Drama?
Idk if this is necessarily my favorite drama... but one I've probably seen the most- Edward Scissorhands. I love that movie, this is another one I kind of watch whenever it's on... it's a really good movie.
7) Favorite Western?
I've only seen one "western" and it's not really a western... but I guess it's my favorite by default. I saw it in a Gangster Film class that I took in college and it is called High Sierra. It's pretty good... Humphrey Bogart is in it... so that's automatically pretty good. It wasn't my favorite movie from the class... but I guess it fits the "favorite western" category.
8) Favorite Horror?
Sleepaway Camp... Just watch it. It has everything! I feel like I would love Get Out also... but it's a great great movie and it's another one that is kind of underrated.
9) Favorite Comedy?
I could probably talk about this for a while... idk! Comedies are probably my favorite movies...and I find myself watching comedies over and over again and then after a while a new one comes along and it kind of outdoes it. I might do a whole blog on comedies that are always funny or more movies I watch whenever they're on... I think I'm going to go with Bridesmaids though. Bridesmaids is a great movie... I saw it recently and it's still just as funny as when I first saw it... it is a really funny movie that I'll never really get tired of.
10) Favorite Disney?
Aladdin! This is such a great movie. I just did a ranking of Disney Renaissance movies and this was on top. As much as I love Tangled... I think I'll always like Aladdin more!
11) Favorite Sci Fi?-
A long time ago in a galaxy not so far away... I watched Star Wars. And I still totally love it! I'm excited for Star Wars Day coming up... that actually happened now by the time I'm posting this I think... but I love Star Wars. It's probably in my top favorite movies ever... and it's definitely my favorite Sci Fi!
12) Favorite Animated Movie?
My favorite movie ever: Despicable Me! I like Minions and Despicable Me 2 also... but my favorite non-disney animated movie is Despicable Me by far. It's just so funny and clever... and it's the first movie from that studio- which is pretty awesome. I love it!
13) Favorite Superhero Movie?
Deadpool! I love Deadpool. It's such a funny movie. Ryan Reynolds seems to have a lot of fun with the character and it is just such a good one. I'm not super into superhero movies... Batman used to be my favorite...but all the DC movies have been disappointing. The Marvel Disney movies that I've seen have been okay for the most part... I did not love Iron man and I haven't really been into watching the rest of them... but Deadpool is just so funny and fun to watch.
14) Favorite Musical?
Chicago! I did a Throwback Thursday on this movie recently and it is amazing! Definitely worth watching! I love it! It was on Netflix recently and I was excited about that... it's just a great movie overall... really funny, has a good message and it's a fun look at the roaring 20s!
15) Favorite Documentary-
This is tough... I have to say... I don't really agree with Michael Moore's views a lot of the time... but he's a really entertaining filmmaker and I really liked the movie Roger and Me. I haven't watched any of his other movies... but this one I watched in an anthropology class and it was really interesting. Maybe it wasn't my favorite... I liked Bill Maher's documentary too... idk that one stuck out a little more.
16) Favorite Bad Movie- Anything with Nicholas Cage! Especially Ghost Rider.
17) Childhood Favorite- Coneheads... I can't watch it now because I know it's a bad movie and I feel like that would compromise my childhood... but I like it a lot... and it is good.
18) Favorite Franchise: Harry Potter... I watch those movies all the time!
19) Best Trilogy:
Probably Star Wars... but I can't answer that for every question... so I'm going with Toy Story! It was a great cartoon and the 2 sequels are just as good and they add to the original instead of taking away from it. I'm sure Toy Story 4 will be fine... everyone is so nervous about it saying "But the ending was perfect." Well, there's more story to tell... and frankly, Pixar are the professionals... not you... so they know what they're doing.
20) Guilty Pleasure: I feel like they asked this question a bunch of times... but I'm going to say Jennifer's Body for this one... for some reason I've seen this movie sooo many times.
21) Favorite Director: There are a lot of Directors that I like a lot...I'm going to say Wes Anderson because it's his birthday today... and I really like his style of movies... there are sooo many more great directors that I love... but I'm just going to say Wes Anderson.
22) Favorite Actor: Tom Hanks maybe. I like him a lot.
23) Favorite Actress: I like Emma Stone a lot...I'll say her!
24) Favorite Movie This Year So Far: I've seen 2 movies this year I think... so Beauty and The Beast. Lol. I really liked it, I loved Emma Watson as Belle. I have a review of it on here... but overall great movie. Worth seeing for sure.
25) Worst Movie So Far This Year: I haven't seen the movie...I'm just guessing based off of chart chat's I've done... probably Unforgettable with Katherine Heigl... it looks bad. It's probably the one that got the lowest critical reviews and fan reviews... it's a plot that's been done before unsuccessfully... I feel like it's the least appealing movie of the year.
26) Movie I Have Recently Seen: Gone Girl was on FX recently so I turned that on. I had seen it before but not since it was in theaters!
27) What I Thought Of It: It was great! Such a good, suspenseful movie... Gone Girl is probably my favorite book I've ever read... and I think they did a great job with the movie. It is fantastic!
28) Favorite Pixar Movie? Monster's Inc! I added this one at the end... but how could you not include Pixar, right?
