Weekly Wrap Up 5.20.17

Favorites

Master of None- I have a lot of favorites this week! I couldn’t pick… but I did finish up Master of None Season 2 on Tuesday I think… and it was pretty darn amazing! I have to say, I’m a bigger fan of this show than I was last season. It was just really funny and well done!

Great News- This show has been really funny since it’s been on… which hasn’t been that long… but it’s been long enough for me to fall in love with it… and the last couple of episodes were the funniest ones yet!

Candy Crush Saga- I downloaded this app again… and I was having a lot of fun with it… I did end up deleting it again today just because it’s not something I could really see myself doing for that much longer… and it was just too distracting… but it was fun while it lasted and I’m going to mention it this week!

Starbucks Breakfast Sandwiches- I’ve never been that big on eggs until recently apparently. These are just delicious. Today I got a bacon gouda… I’ve been getting the Sausage Egg and Cheese usually… I just kind of wanted bacon for breakfast and this was a great way to do it.

Downward Dog- I’ll have a review on this show this week… but it’s just a really cute show and very relevant to my life! I have a dog- I love dogs… this just makes me smile!

News And World Events
A lot of stuff happened this week… so let’s see!

Scandal announced that it would be ending the series next year… my sister is devastated as this will be the last year for Scandal and Game of Thrones.

The singer Chris Cornell of the band Soundgarden died and his death was ruled a suicide… I didn’t know the band that well until a few weekends ago he was actually on the CBS Morning News (I believe it was him) and he was really interesting and he mentioned a lot of the projects he was working on… he did a song from a documentary or something… and it was good. It’s such a shame!

Supernatural is doing a crossover with Scooby Doo… so that’s awesome!

The networks have announced plans for renewals and some fall shows that are coming up… one that interests me is Young Sheldon, which is Sheldon Cooper’s Malcom in the Middle type origin story… and it looks really good! Jim Parson’s actually came up with the idea for it… and I’m excited. It’s in the clickables!

Noteworthy Snacks
The Starbucks Breakfast Sandwiches! So good!

Nutella… yummmm!

Music
I randomly started singing Hurricane from Hamilton today… and if you ever see the play… that’s a very powerful scene… it really sticks out to you… I love it!

Quotes
“The Printer ran out of toner so I went to Sephora!”- Carol on Great News

Thoughts

It makes more sense if I post this on Saturday and Scribbles on Sunday, doesn’t it… That’s what I’ll do from now on!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
