Chart Chat 5.8.17

This Chart Chat is only slightly more interesting than last weeks... but I'll take it! Lol.

10) Smurfs: The Lost Village- I feel like it was too soon for another Smurfs movie... maybe Smurfs aren't really ever going to be a thing again... maybe the live action movie kind of ruined it... and it just isn't as cute in CGI as it was compared to when it was first on in the 80s. I wanted to see this one... but I feel like it's hard to make people like smurfs!

9) Going In Style - I was surprised this movie didn't do better... but at the same time... I feel like this suffers the same thing as the Smurfs. It's just not anyone's first choice for a movie... there are other movies like it and while it might be really good... it didn't get great reviews and it seems like this movie has been out before.

8) Gifted - This seems like another good movie that just wouldn't be anyone's first choice to see in theaters. Some people love seeing these smaller movies and know more about them than I do that would probably love this... and people love Chris Evans... which I don't blame anyone for... so I guess that's why this has remained on the charts... but it seems like it's been done before to me. And I know every movie sort of has at this point... but I'm picky.

7) Baahubali 2: The Conclusion- This was number 3 on the charts last week I believe... idk what it's really about... here's the synopsis on IMDB! " When Shiva, the son of Bahubali, learns about his heritage, he begins to look for answers. His story is juxtaposed with past events that unfolded in the Mahishmati Kingdom." So... yeah... whatever that means. It looks very action packed and good! It's an Indian movie... which is kind of surprising that it's doing so well at the US Box office... but the pictures make it look good... so I'd probably watch this if I see it on TV.

6) The Circle- Not exactly sure what this movie is about either... but it looks suspenseful and I like the cast, so I would definitely see this! I would see this in theaters... but I know I probably won't get to... but I will definitely watch it as soon as it's on tv!

5) Beauty and The Beast- 2 in a row on the top 10 for Emma Watson! Good for her! She's hot right now! Loved this movie... would see it again even.

4) How To Be A Latin Lover- This looked funny... but I'm still a little surprised it's in the top 5 because it didn't look that great!

3) The Boss Baby- Still super surprised this has not been off the top 3 since it's been out! It's been out for quite a while too... but I guess this has the appeal that the other movies I mentioned are lacking and that is why it's been so popular. I would probably rather see this than "Fate of The Furious" if someone were to be like "hey, want to go to the movies!" And I know a lot of people don't like sci fi... so it might be more appealing than Guardians too!

2) The Fate of The Furious- Not my thing... but at least it isn't #1 anymore!

1) Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 2- I am really excited for this movie! Hopefully I'll be able to see it Thursday or Friday. I loved the first movie so much... Chris Pratt is perfect... everyone is really perfect in this movie... it is just a fantastic sci-fi Rock Opera type of movie!

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
