Throwback Thursday: Star Wars Return of The Jedi

This one is a little bit different because the other 2 Star Wars Throwback Thursdays I hadn't seen any of them since December... this one I actually kind of forgot some details a bit... and it was on TV so I watched a bit of the beginning...

I have to say... this one I feel like doesn't totally work on it's own. From the little bit I watched of it I was like "This is weird." So I think the original Star Wars Movies are now stronger as a trilogy than watching them too far apart. I would say maybe the first 2 you can watch kind of stand alone... but this one works better if you watch it along with the other 2. The beginning is just VERY Sci- Fi-ish... so you really have to be in the mood for Star Wars when you see it. It's a little bit cheesy and technology wise... it didn't quite age well in the context of the other 2 in my opinion... and while I thought this had the best beginning when I watched it as a trilogy... from that little bit that I saw I was like "What? I understand why people don't like Star Wars now... this is weird." And I think maybe Empire Strikes Back would be the best beginning for a casual viewer.

That being said... I still think this is my favorite movie of the bunch. I like that Leia saves Han, I like that Leia becomes queen of the Ewoks... I like that we find out Leia and Luke are brother and sister. Jabba the Hut and Bobba Fett are in this movie and that's pretty cool. There was just a lot of good stuff that happened in this movie and it's exciting.

And the ending... it ends really well for a trilogy. Everything is wrapped up nicely... the good guys win- the bad guys loose... it would have been good if they had just ended it there... I'm happy that they continued with TFA... but idk. After thinking about it now you can't go back now and have this be the ending again... Like as much as I liked Harry Potter and the Cursed Child... that is now the ending of Harry Potter... and that isn't as good of an end as The Deathly Hallows... so it might end up being the same with Star Wars after it's all said and done... idk.

So...yeah! Hopefully this was somewhat helpful? I didn't talk much about the actual movie but weirdly enough... I remember this one the least at the moment... so maybe next Star Wars Day I'll have a better Throwback Thursday of this. Lol.

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...
