Chart Chat: 5/29/17

10) Beauty and the Beast- Number 10 this week in it's 11th week on the charts! Not too bad! It has been out since St. Patrick's day... just for reference so that is a long time! I'm guessing it will be out of theaters next week- so see this one while you can. It was really good and I'm excited for the Blu Ray to come out!

9) The Boss Baby- This is the 9th week on the charts for the surprise hit: Boss Baby. I'm guessing this will be out of theaters soon as well... so catch it while you can... it looked obnoxious to me... but what do I know- people loved this and must have seen it multiple times!

8)King Arthur: Legend of the Sword- This has been out for 3 weeks... not doing great domestically... but I bet it will be international soon and these types of action movies seem to do really well in other countries. So that's good... it is still kind of a flop... and it probably won't be at the movies much longer... but it'll do okay.

7) Snatched- Another movie I thought would do a little bit better... it didn't get number 1 the week it came out because of Guardians of The Galaxy... but this looked like a funny movie you could watch with your mom. It seems like the concept has been done before... but still. Goldie Hawn and Amy Schumer... how can you go wrong.

6) Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul-  This movie looked pretty bad... and Diary of a Wimpy Kid movies usually come out in August when nothing is out... so the early release date has me a little bit skeptical about this summer's blockbuster movies... but I'm sure it's still good for the age group that likes Diary of a Wimpy Kid.

5) Everything, Everything- This movie looked pretty good... but something I don't have a ton of interest in. 2 weeks on the charts... it'll probably be around for a while longer!

4) Alien: Covenant- Not really my cup of tea... so yeah. Glad we don't have to talk about The Fate of the Furious at least!

3) Baywatch- Sandy Kenyon described this as "The worst movie to come out this year" so far... and this is a year when some movies have been crappy... so that surprises me. I would still see this movie... Dwayne The Rock Johnson is one of those actors I pretty much like in any movie he's in. And I haven't seen some of the more action-y movies of his obviously... but he's an entertaining actor and I would pay the price of admission to see him in a movie. Lol.

2) Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2- Surprisingly I love Guardians of The Galaxy as much as I dislike a lot of similar action movies... this is really funny and a lot of fun. The new Guardians of the Galaxy ride at Disneyland looks like tons of fun too! It's just so clever... and the soundtrack is the best.

1) Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Men Tell No Tales- I didn't love the last 2 Pirates of the Carribean movies... but I think this movie tried to recapture the fun of the first 2 a little bit... and I'm excited to see it either way. The first 2 movies I'll pretty much always watch when they're on... so hopefully I'll get to see this one and it'll be at least somewhat comparable.

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...
