Scribbles about TV: 3rd week of March 2015

Lots of Tina Fey this week... She's in a lot of good stuff and I loves me some Tina Fey... so yeah.

One thing without Tina Fey that I saw on Sunday was Monsters Inc. I love this movie, I just saw the end and I'm still pretty upset that they didn't do a real sequel on Sulley's reunion with Boo... thats just disappointing. I didn't mind Monster's University... but... it wasn't what I wanted. So that made me sad... even though its one of my favorites... lol.

And then the Tina Fey Madness started. Admission was one, I really love this movie... but I've seen it so many times I kind of lost some love for it. Its not super funny even though Tina Fey is in it, its sort of a melodrama... but its good. Paul Rudd is good. Its a good movie, I like it a lot.

And I saw Muppets Most Wanted. Which I also really like. Everyone is funny in that. I had no idea Ricky Gervais could sing as well as he does... there are lots of other good songs. Brett McKenzie is brilliant and it makes me so happy that Jemaine Clement is also in the movie. And Josh Groban's cameo makes me laugh. Its good.

And I watched Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt... which was both created by Tina Fey and Tina Fey was a guest star in the episodes I watched! So that made me happy. And then my friend came over and watched it later in the week so that was fun.

I also caught up on Secrets and Lies. I actually really like this show more than I thought I would. It seemed a little stupid in the pilot... but its actually pretty exciting. And there are a lot of things where I'm like "Wow this would never happen in a million years" but also I'm intrigued and there are lots of good twists.

Sunday night I watched a rerun of Bob's Burgers, which I hadn't seen before and the new episode of Last Man on Earth... which is a show I really love a lot.

Monday I watched last week's Better Call Saul a second time. I didn't fully pay attention the first time. I also watched Jane the Virgin from this week. I was half watching sort of... it wasn't bad... it was good actually. I really like Michael... but I don't know if him and Jane are meant to be... but I also think Jane wants him back... and I felt for her at the end. But I think that is who Michael is supposed to be with. And I think Jane and Raphael are in a slump... and idk. I think they'll get over it, I think they love each other and that in the end they'll be together. I also feel bad for Petra because she's done some bad things, but she loves Raphael just as much as anyone else... so I want her to find someone too. I kind of thought it would have been a good twist for Michael to die... but I'm glad he didn't lol. Would be a good twist, but I like him and don't want him killed off. Didn't watch this weeks better Call Saul yet... but I probably will... so I'll mention that.

I watched Community. I have a review on that here  if you want to see. Its a big deal this is back for me because I was bummed the day it got cancelled. I was like "well there goes my career as a comedy writer" because I don't think I can write anything better than Community and if people didn't appreciate that, idk where there is a place for whatever show I write... but its back and I'm happy for that.

I also watched ABC's repeats... I think I've seen them all before... but whatever. I didn't feel like leaving my couch... so I watched them and it was good.

I also watched New Girl and Mindy. New Girl was a repeat... I may have only watched half the episode. I also half watched The Mindy Project. I was sorting out clothes to donate at the time so I'll have to watch it again... but it was good. Love Laverne Cox. She was super hot and fierce in this episode. Love Orange is The New Black and everything she's doing is just awesome. And she wasn't really playing a Transgender in this episode I don't think... which is cool I think. Gay men don't just play gay guys... so why can't trans women just play women? Thats cool I think.

And I watched Comedy Bang Bang. I feel like I either loved this week or didn't... ohhh yes I did love it. Lol. I forgot! I'm sad its on break. I also watched Seth Meyers, The Daily Show, Jimmy Fallon. Jimmy Fallon had the best guests this week. Will Ferrel dressed as Little Debbie and Chelsea Peretti in the same episode... amazing.

I watched Shark Tank! It was bad this week actually lol. No really good ideas. Idk. No one really bought anything either... so it was all in all uneventful. Lol.

I saw an old episode of Community. The episode where they're in the KFC shuttle thing... so funny. Such a good show. I think my parents actually like it too.

I also saw the end of My Big Fat Greek Wedding... I love this movie. I feel like I watch it whenever it is on. I cannot wait for the sequel... I love Nia Vardalos... I'm just a big fan lol. So good!

I watched Grey's Anatomy which was good this week and Scandal... also good. Everyone is saying it was so bad and Lena Dunham wasn't a good character... idk. I don't think there are any really bad episodes of Scandal. Uhhh Lena Dunham also spoiled the end before the west coast even saw it... so that was a thing.

I also watched some At Midnight this week. And I think an episode of The Daily Show or two. And an episode of The Nightly Show or 2... I love these shows still... and i should watch them... but because I've gotten into Late Night and The Tonight Show... idk how I'm going to watch all the late night shows. Especially when Colbert comes on... Idk. Lol.

I'm watching a rerun of Scandal now too. Lol.

Ohhh also I watched Repeat After Me... it was bad. I love Wendi McCloudin Covey (sp?) From the Golbergs. I love Ellen. I love a lot of the celebrities that were on the show... but it was mostly bad improv... over the top gags no one was going for, and it didn't really work in my opinion. I thought Kristin Belle was really good on it. She's a good actress and I'm guessing she has some improv experience cause she was pretty amazing.
Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
