Shannon Loves: Fall Out Boy

Okay, yesterday I talked about my Fall Out Boy action figures and today I wanted to mention why I love fall out boy and when I started to love them. I think I'm going to do one of these types of posts once a month- that way you can understand a little bit more about me.

So I remember one day in 7th or 8th grade maybe I wanted to get really into music because I didn't know too much about music at that point. I was really into movies- but not so much into music. Fortunately back then there was a cable channel that was called MTV Hits I think and they played all music videos all the time and it was awesome. I don't know if they still have it... but I really liked that. Plus there was a regular music network that had hit channels... so whenever nothing was on TV I turned those on!

So one day I turned it on and it was the music video for Sugar We're Going Down

I thought Patrick Stump was really cute. I thought the hats were kind of cool and different and I really liked the song. I didn't understand a single word it said...but it sounded nice, the music video was really cool and I really liked it!

Then the song Dance, Dance came out.

and that music video was super funny and that song was really catchy... and since I didn't have an Ipod yet- I had to go to my local Sam Goody to get the cd. I got it right after taking the High School Placement Tests... so yeah this must have been 8th grade... with 2 of my friends before we saw the movie Zathura... and it was just a really fun time. And I only listened to those two songs... but they were really good and at the time you kind of had to buy the whole cd just to get the song that you liked... so that was what I did.

For a while I only listened to those 2 songs over and over again. Dance, Dance was the third song on the CD and Sugar, We're Going Down was the fourth... so eventually I listened to the first 2 songs and the fifth song... and then I kind of just ended up liking all of From Under The Cork Tree and eventually I liked all of the songs except for Get Busy Living or Get Busy Dying... which isn't terrible and at some points I did end up liking it... but now it might be my least favorite song from them. But anyway I ended up loving the album- that was one of the best purchases of my life and I've been a big fan of Fall Out Boy ever since!

Bye!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
