Marvel Monday: Why Super Heroes Don't Really Need Powers

Okay... here I have my first "Marvel Theory" of sorts and that is... Do the Marvel heroes really need their superpowers?

Obviously the powers help a lot... and they do kind of save the day. Thor and Doctor Strange can travel through dimensions and stuff... Doctor Strange saves the day by controlling time... those are obviously using their superpowers pretty well... and that's true but that isn't really why they save the day. They save the day because of the clever way that they think and their personality.

I'm going to use kind of a silly and possibly annoying example... but what if Justin Bieber was the one with Doctor Strange's powers. Do you really think that he would be able to come up with the time loop idea to come up with trapping and eventually bargaining with the monster destroying the universe? Probably not. How about if he were Thor and his hammer was broken... do you think he'd get over that easily?

Heck- even if someone like Peter Parker had Doctor Strange's powers... he probably wouldn't have thought of that. It's very specifically the combination of the powers and the person controlling them that end up saving the day!

So what does that mean? Be yourself- find your super powers and try to be your own super hero! Secret motivational post! Lol. I've been watching all of these and thinking "Hey, can I be an Avenger" and I really think I can! Maybe I don't have super powers or an iron suit... but I can try being an Avenger lol.

Bye!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
