March 2017 It List!

1) Trial and Error- This is such a funny show! I highly recommend it if you love Murder Mysteries, or if you like Parks and Rec or Arrested Development... this show is a lot like those 2 shows... so I think it's really great because those are my 2 favorite shows of all time. Sherri Shepherd is really great in it. John Lithgow and Jayma Mays are really funny... it's just a great show all around! 2) Beauty and The Beast- I saw this movie in theaters and it's definitely my favorite of the new Disney Live Action remakes! I actually liked it more than the cartoon because it explained things that the cartoon didn't explain! I thought they did a great job! It was a fun one to see in theaters too... and my mom and I saw the Imax 3d version... it was gorgeous! Highly recommend! 3) Divide by Ed Sheeran- I've been listening to this NON STOP! It's just so good, really different... and at the end of it, it doesn't seem like you just listened to a CD, it sounds like y

Throwback Thursday: Chicago

So this was a really pleasant surprise Throwback Thursday. I haven't seen this movie since... before I went to college... so it's been quite a while and when I watched it that time I was like "Yeah... I've seen this movie enough. I've seen the play now... it's nothing different." And now it's probably jumped the list to my Top 5 Favorite movies of all time. Maybe right behind Despicable Me... it's great! I've seen the play Chicago for my friends graduation... and I knew this movie so well that I was really excited to see the play... and the play was soooo great... but the movie was also really great too. The play is all on stage so it doesn't have the beautiful sets of the movie and the juxtaposition between what is actually going on and the "musical inside of Roxy's head." which is something I really liked in the movie! They really could not have gotten a better cast for this movie either. The singing in it is all amazing

Scribbles About TV: Imaginary Mary Review!

This show looked like it could be either a really great show, or a really horrible show… but I thought it would be promising because it was created by Adam Goldberg and the creator of The Goldbergs… so I thought it might be really good.  Fortunately… It was really good! Mary, the imaginary friend is super cute and funny. Jenna Elfman is really relatable and she does a great job playing this character. Stephen Schnieder, who plays the single father that she’s dating is super hot… the kids are funny and cute too… it’s just a good cast overall and well thought out.  Jenna Elfman’s character Alice is flawed… but in a relatable way. She knows the guy she’s dating has 3 kids and she continues to get serious with him… but she freaks out when his kids come over and he suggests meeting them. When she actually does meet them- no spoilers- but they don’t exactly get along that well. The kids are more difficult than she was expecting… and she’s also kind of difficult… so it made sense. It’s relat

Scribbles About Food: The Original Cannoli Chips- Cookies and Cream and Powdered Sugar

So this is a relatively low calorie snack that is delicious and sweet. It's from a family owned business, with a family recipe which is really awesome. These have "No artificial anything" they also have No Trans Fat, they're Non- GMO, Nut Free... so these are pretty allergy and diet friendly. The Cookies and Cream ones are 90 calories... I didn't check the original ones... but I think they're low calories for the most part and they have a pretty good serving size too. 8 chips is one serving size... which is a good amount for these. It is also certified kosher. These fit a lot of food restrictions and diet restrictions... these would taste great in some kind of dip... that would be less diet friendly but if you put these out at a party without dip... people would probably love them just like that also. The Cookies and Cream ones remind me of the 100 Calorie Oreo Snack Packs that they used to have... idk if they still make these or not. The cookies and cream

Chart Chat: 3.27.17

Alrighty! I've been waiting for the box office results to show up since yesterday! Sometimes they're released Sunday, sometimes it's Monday. This week they said on Saturday I believe that it was likely going to be another week at the top for Beauty and The Beast, despite the release of the new Power Rangers movie... but we'll see what turns out in the top spot right... now! 10) The Belko Experiment- I find myself longing for John Wick Chapter 2 right about now... this is a thriller that was from a Canadian Film Festival in 2016 that was just released last week in the box office, and it is the 2nd week on the charts. It's about people trapped in prison playing a game of "kill or be killed." To me it sounds like Saw, a little bit like The Purge... if you like those movies you might want to see this. 9) The Lego Batman Movie- I've heard this movie is really good... plus it has been on the charts for 7 weeks now! It came out around Valentine's Day

Weekly Wrap Up 3/25/17

Favorites  Sing- This is such a cute movie! I got the blu ray and watched it this week... it's just a cute little feel good movie. Not as much actual singing as I thought there would be, but all the singing is really good still. And it's just one of those cute ones! I recommend watching it!  The Most Popular Girls in School- This is a great web series... I think it was a favorite last week or a few weeks ago... but I finished it... and I'm already watching it again. It's really funny.  Trial and Error- This is a great show! I had it as a favorite last week... it still keeps getting better. Highly recommend it.  News and World Events Chuck Berry died... which is sad. He was an amazing talent and he really did invent Rock and Roll... which is the basis for so many other genres of music... it's very sad. First day of Spring Happened... so there's a thing. National Puppy Day was this week. Technically it was the 23rd, but Spencer would argue

Scribbles! 3/18- 3/24

Saturday 3/ 18  My sister came over with her baby for a little bit! I watched some of Moana before she came over, so that was a lot of fun! I love that movie. I love seeing my sister and her baby also... if you haven't guessed from everything I've been posting lately. My mom and dad made Corned Beef and Cabbage... which I don't like so I ate leftovers... it was good. Sunday 3/19  We went up to see my sister and the baby! She was smiling and she's starting to coo a little bit. She was just so cute and awake and alert. It was a lot of fun. She's a little more alert every time we see her, it's adorable. She's starting to mimic now too, so if you smile at her, she'll smile back at you. So sweet. Monday 3/20  We went up to see my sister again. I read some Amelia Bedelia  to the baby... one of my favorites as a kid! If you've never read Amelia Bedelia, she's a maid that takes things very literally. Like if you ask her to Steak the Beans in y

Top 10 Movies I Watch Whenever They're On TV

So I couldn't think of what to write today... but this is something that is very telling of a person. The movies that if you see it on TV, you will watch it above everything else. They might not necessarily be my favorite movies... but they're ones I get really, really excited about. 1) My Big Fat Greek Wedding  This one is my favorite and this probably is in my Top 5 Favorite movies of All Time. It's just such a good movie, I've seen it so many times I actually know every word. This is the only movie that I know every word to... unless Hamilton becomes a movie lol. It's just sooo good and so funny. I love it. 2) Any of The Despicable Me Movies  These aren't on as much as they used to be... but Despicable Me is my favorite movie ever... I could watch it a million times and still never get tired. And I also love Minions and Despicable Me 2... in that order. Despicable Me is #1 then Minions and then DM2. DM3 looks really good too, I'm so excited for it..

Throwback Thursday: Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog

This was an exciting one. I used to LOVE this movie... if you can even call it a movie... it is so good... I've seen it 100 times probably. I watched it every day for a while and it's just great. It's not for everyone probably... but it's so short that I think anyone could really enjoy it without being bored. For such a short musical... it is very well paced. There are 3 acts, there's a clear storyline and arc for all the characters... there are lots of songs. If you don't like singing... you're not going to like this because there isn't much plot other than the singing... but if you love musicals... there is a lot of character development in the songs... its something that you can sing along to (heyyy... I understand the title now.) And it's very catchy. Even years since I've seen it last... I remembered all of the words. It's also really funny. Spoilers: Not a happy ending... but there are really really funny moments all throughout the

Scribbles About Food: TGI Fridays Chicken Tostado Nachos Review

Alright... so when it comes to TGI Fridays... I need to learn not to veer off from my usual. I pretty much always get the Sesame Jack Chicken Strips... I don't think I'm ever not going to order that again. This was... disgusting. I don't cook... and I can make better nachos than this... it was just awful. They were these chips and the chips themselves were fine. They were a good shape and they were nice. There was spicy chicken on them, which wasn't bad but there wasn't much on and it was so spicy that it distracted from any other flavor trying to get in there... which was a good thing because everything else was kind of horrible. These had like a weird sauce on the top that was like a velveta beschemel type sauce... and it did not taste like how nachos should taste. It was just sitting on top of the chip and it was just... bad. They also put parmesan cheese on top it looked like... which is not my favorite type of cheese to begin with and it doesn't belong

Scribbles About Movies: Beauty and The Beast Review

I was really excited to see the newest Disney Live- Action remake... and it did not disappoint! I think I've seen all the movies so far except Pete's Dragon- which was already a live action movie. This is my favorite so far followed by Cinderella, Through The Looking Glass, Maleficent, The Jungle Book and the original Tim Burton Alice. This is the only real musical of the bunch, and the only one that I think I actually liked better than the Cartoon. The cartoon is probably one of my favorites... Disney has made a lot of great movies since the Disney Renaissance... so idk if this is still the same on my list... but it's a really good one... but there's a lot that doesn't exactly make sense in the movie. The Beast was 10 when he didn't let the Enchantress into his house? That doesn't make much sense. Why'd she have to curse all the servants too? What's up with Mrs. Potts being Chip's mom? Is it Stockholm Syndrome because the Beast captured Belle

Chart Chat: 3.20.17

Exciting week of the charts! I actually saw the #1 movie in America! I'll have a review of that tomorrow I think! 10) Before I Fall- Third week on the charts! This will probably be the last week of the charts... but I was hoping John Wick Chapter 2 would be off the charts by now and it clearly wasn't. Let's see what the movie is about because I never actually looked up what it was about. I just know Elena Kamporis is in it and I love her. Ohhh okay so it's scary groundhog day. I think a teenager is living her last day over and over again on February 12th... so 10 days after groundhog day. Not subtle... but it sounds like something I'll watch on TV one day... 9) John Wick Chapter 2- Ohhh great... John Wick Chapter 2 is on the charts for the 6th week in a row. Maybe I should see the first one... clearly this is a thing! 8) Hidden Figures- Lucky number 13 weeks on the chart! Still going strong! I really want to see this still. I think it's still playing aroun

Weekly Wrap Up 3.19.17

Favorites  The Fragoholic- This is a youtuber that does mostly celebrity  fragrance  reviews... I started watching his videos because I wanted to see a review on the Katy Perry perfumes... but I could listen to him talk about Fragrance all day. He's just  really entertaining and gives good descriptions. I've started becoming more interested in fragrance... so I think his reviews are interesting.  Trial and Error- I reviewed this  here  and I really thought it was funny. I've watched the Pilot 3 times since then, and the second episode 2 times since it aired. It's a great show...  the  cast is perfect and the plot is just great. I'm a fan!  Beauty and The Beast- I really liked this movie. It has been my favorite Disney live action remake so far I think. I'll have a review of this on Tuesday, but I loved it. Great musical.  News and World Events Not much news that I  really  took note of this week I think. There could be a Venom movie if the n

Scribbles: 3.18.17

Saturday 3.11  Saturday I went to Target I think and then I went out to eat at a nice restaurant with my parents and grandmother. My food was really good, so it was especially nice. I liked it a lot! Sunday 3.12  Sunday I visited my sister and the baby. The baby is growing up so fast! She's getting so smart... I was amazed at how many changes we saw this week. She's got her nursery ready- it took a little while because she was early... and she's looking around at things in her room. So cute. Monday 3.13  Saw her again today. Not quite as long, but I still got to see her face, she's a cutie! Tuesday 3.14  Tuesday was supposed to be a blizzard... but there was no blizzard, it was just very very windy! So it was kind of a snow day... but not really. Most places were closed down due to the weather... even though there was no snow... it was a cold day, but it was okay. I just stayed home, cleaned my room I think and watched Friends. Maybe I cleaned my room on Sund

Scribbles About Music: Ed Sheeran Divide Review

This is the cd I've been listening to kind of Non-Stop as of recently. Yep... I capitalize Non Stop now because of Hamilton apparently... we're just going to move passed that and get onto the Ed Sheeran review. This is really good. You know how you can tell I really love it? It's not Hamilton, it's not a musical and I'm still listening to it... and I said "it's better than Joanne by Lady Gaga." GASP! It might just be because I have a massive crush on Ed Sheeran... especially after listening to this album... but yeah. So there are lots of really sad songs on this that could make you cry. Castle on The Hill can get you kind of emotional, Happier is one I think I'd cry to on a bad day... Supermarket Flowers makes me want to cry every time listening to it and the very last song on the cd is Save Myself... which is just the kicker. I mean this in a good way... obviously I like them. It's nice to have some really emotional songs on a cd along wit

Throwback Thursday: Crazy Ex Girlfriend Season 1

One of my favorite shows is the very underrated Crazy Ex Girlfriend... and when I say underrated I mean the ratings are bad... I'm pretty sure there is a lot of critical hype that is very real and worthy of that sort of hype... I honestly didn't watch it live at all this year until the finale... it was all in my DVR... I had lost a little bit of interest to be honest after the first episode... but I bingewatched it all in one day pretty much and it was great... but that's season 2... let's go back to Season 1. If you're only familiar with Season 2... Season 1 isn't quite as dark. It's definitely more silly than Season 2. It isn't like the darkness and the drama isn't there, it just isn't quite as dark. I have a feeling the show is getting progressively darker, and the Season 2 finale was definitely the darkest so far. The show is meant to be a different spin on a Rom-Com. The girl moves across the country for a guy that has a girlfriend alrea

Scribbles About TV: Trial and Error Review

So I've been excited about this show since I first heard about it... It looks like Arrested Development but with Murder... and I would say there's a lot of Parks and Rec in it as well... which I wasn't expecting... So this Pilot had everything that I love. Funny cast... nonstop jokes... very very dark humor... and the #1 thing on my loves list of shows: A SMALL RURAL TOWN! I never really realized how important the small town vibe was to me... but I'm writing something now and I've been watching Friends and Crazy Ex Girlfriend... and there's a big difference between the Manhattan setting of Friends vs West Covina, California- which is of corse the setting of Crazy Ex Girlfriend.... but yeah. Each setting is fitting for each show... and really this small, rural town in South Carolina is PERFECT for this murder mystery comedy. So yeah all of those elements were great... but the characters are also hilarious for this. The lawyer is sort of the main character in

Scribbles About Food: Pure Leaf Pomegranate Iced Tea and Mint Iced Tea

I'm a fan of Iced Tea, so when I heard that Pure Leaf had 2 new flavors, I was pretty excited! Pomegranate Juice is something that I really like and I really like mint drinks and I've been liking Eucalyptus Spearmint smells lately... so I thought this would be good! This is really tasty! It's very flavorful, it tastes like Iced Tea obviously... but it's also like actually eating a pomegranate. It's got the flavor down PERFECTLY! It was fantastic! Pure Leaf isn't my favorite brand of iced tea. They have a lot of flavors... but the only ones I really like are the Raspberry and Peach. The plain sweet iced tea isn't bad... the Green Tea is pretty terrible from them, the Lemon is pretty bad too. If you know Long Island Iced Tea... those are much more flavorful than Pure Leaf... but I would have tp say that this pomegranate one definitely compares to the Long Island Iced Tea brand (btw the Long Island Iced Tea is just the name of the brand. It's not alcoho

Chart Chat 3.3-3.5.17 and 3.10-3.12.17

So this is going to be a little different. I didn't do a chart chat last week... so I'll show that box office quickly and then we'll go to the current box office! I'll just show 1-10 and maybe I'll make some comments. Last Week's Box Office (3.3-3.5)  1) Logan- New Wolverine movie... first week on the charts 2) Get Out- last week's #1 movie. 3) The Shack- 1st week on the chart 4) The Lego Batman movie- 4th week at #4! 5) John Wick Chapter 2- 4th week. 6) Before I fall- this movie has Elena Kamporis- my Greek cousin from MBFGW2. Idk if she's really my cousin...but she's probably my cousin. 7) Hidden Figures- This movie has been out for 11 weeks! Clearly people wanted to know this story! 8) The Great Wall- 3rd week on the charts. 9) Fifty Shades Darker- 4th week 10) La La Land- 13th week since its release date! Current Top 10  10) Fifty Shades Darker- So this got bad reviews... it's been on the charts since it was released back aroun

Weekly Wrap Up 3/12/17

Favorites  The Most Popular Girls In School- I started watching this show again recently... I think I saw Brittany Matthews  Facebook  page for National Women's Day and I just thought "Ohhh that was funny... I'm going to watch this again." And I have been... and Brittney Matthews is my Spirit animal.  Divide by Ed Sheeran- Ed Sheeran is so talented. *dreamy sigh* this is just such a good cd. It has a lot of Irish sounding music and some Spanish-sounding music and some rap... and some other stuff... that's the  only  way I can describe it... it's really one of the best cds out recently... I love it!  Friends- I was kind of just mad at the world on Wednesday... for no real reason... just the time of the month... anyway... the only thing not making me mad was Friends, the TV show. Idk why I was like "yeah... I'm going to watch friends now." But I think I'm going to start watching it again... I'll probably do Throwback Thursdays

Scribbles! 3.11.17

Saturday 3.4 Saturday was fun! My parents and I babysat my niece... so she was over all day. My sister and her husband got a night out, so we were watching her by ourselves and that was a lot of fun for us and for them. She was really good too. She cries a lot, but she was pretty good for us! My parents and I are pretty good at getting her to stop crying. It's really fun to be an aunt. Sunday 3.5  Sunday... we went up to my sister's house to see the baby again!!! It was good! The baby was asleep pretty much the whole time, but both of my parents got to hold her and she was good. My sister got some things done around the house. Monday 3.6  I went to see my sister... shocking right? Lol. The baby was in her little baby swing the whole time pretty much and my mom and I were the DJ's because she starts fussing when the music on the machine stops playing. It was fun! She's a cutie. And I got coffee with my friend and we hung out and looked at Franchesca's and talk

Scribbles About Food: KFC Georgia Gold

I'm so excited to talk about the KFC Georgia Gold Chicken... because it was really good. It's something I would eat a lot good... the flavor was really really yummy on that extra crispy chicken... it was perfection! So I got mine on the Extra Crispy Chicken... you can also get it in (extra crispy)  tender form or as Chicken Littles, which is a chicken sandwich that they do. They don't have this in buckets... but we got 8 pieces I think in 2 boxes that I believe they put their 4 piece meals in. I wonder if you could get it as a $5 fill up... that would be yummy! So anyway the sauce was definitely spicier than I thought it would be. I was just kind of expecting a tangy mustard sauce... which it was... but there was a good amount to spice to it! It goes really well with the cole slaw because that cools down the spiciness... I think the chicken littles come with it in a sandwich with cole slaw... which just sounds delicious. Great way to cool it off. It's very fillin

Throwback Thursday: Jane The Virgin Season 1 (Spoilers for Season 1 + Current Season)

So I wasn't really planning on doing a Throwback Thursday on this... but after knowing the current plot line of Jane The Virgin and the way that the first season kind of foreshadows a lot of the plot lines to the current season and situation that just happened... there will be spoilers... just another warning here. Lol. So they mention very early on that Michael would love Jane until his dying day... I didn't think that that would be something that would happen sooner rather than later... but it did happen early on in his life and early on in their marriage. And there are lots of symbols with Michael having to do with his heart. His heart glows for Jane, and Jane's heart glows for him. I think that time was sort of a symbol with Michael as well. They mentioned his patience with dating Jane for 2 years and them not having sex... he was upset that he had time away from Jane... it was all kind of foreshadowing that he would end up passing away before anyone was ready. Ther

Scribbles About TV: Time After Time Review

I did a blog on this a little while ago when I first saw the trailer... it looked ridiculous... and it was... but I didn't actually hate it. It wasn't a perfect show. There was a lot that didn't make sense and the way that they kind of explained away the plot holes wasn't great... but overall... it held my attention for about 2 hours. I don't think that this is going to last as a tv show honestly- which does upset me. If it was a mini movie or a mini series... it'd be okay... but they're trying to do multiple seasons of this and it just didn't work. The writing of this show wasn't great... it was very well paced though- which I thought was kind of brilliant from the writers end. I think that if you like "Cat and Mouse" types of mysteries... this is something that would probably interest you. It was well paced and it was always like the HG Wells character was 2 seconds too late... which idk. They did that in a suspenseful way... it was e
