What's Up Wednesday: 9.28.16

I'm a little sleepy right now... haven't had dinner yet, I think I am soon... but I was up kinda late last night because I kind of want to do a blog on the Fantasia movies... and I thought that would be something fun to watch before bed... and it was... but the first couple cartoons are a little boring and not that good... but the last one I watched before bed was the amazing Sorcerer's Apprentice... so that was good!

Anyway today I woke up... I think I had a dream about the muppets... which is always good. That's a good way to wake up, in my opinion. I've been in a muppety mood today. So yeah... Muppety moods are good to be in.

Then I got a Pumpkin Spice Latte. My mom brought it home and that was good. And then later we went out to run errands with my grandmother. We ate Pretzels from The Pretzel Company inside of Wall Mart... my mom had regular salt and I had cinnamon sugar with a pumpkin dip... which was good! I really like their pretzels!

Then I went to Ulta and I got some brushes from It Cosmetics and they were giving away things you could buy for a $5 donation to a breast cancer charity, so I got a heart shaped jewelry box that was really pretty! And I  was in a raffle, so that was good!

Then I got home and I'm sleepy and still muppety... and writing now. And I'm chilly... so that is everything you need to know.

My overall thoughts on this day is try to have a muppety day... Are you a Man or are you a Muppet? Be a Muppet. I want to start an ad campaign like the "Have you been a dad today" but "Have you been a Muppet today?" Because I think being more muppety makes you a better person.

So I thought it would be fun to do a gift guide that every gift corresponds with the price. So like for the first day of Christmas $1 gift that would be good and then up from there. We get most of ours from Dollar tree... other dollar stores have them too, they're super cute and fun for $1. Its good to put near any plants that you have that way you know they're getting sunlight. It's a good gift. $2- Mini Coloring Book!  At 5 Below they had some mini travel sized coloring books for $2. I thought these were pretty cool. I got the Botanical one I believe. Really cute and fun! I would recommend! $3-   Ceramic Truck w/ Christmas Tree  I saw this at the Target Dollar Spot and I thought it was cute and would probably make a great gift. Scribbles About Food: Gloria Jeans Pistachio Chiller (kinda like a frap)

So since I'm doing all of the Frappuccino reviews, I thought I would give a shout out to a different coffee chain that I like... maybe even more than Starbucks! But I hardly ever go to it because A) People get your orders wrong there a lot B) I don't really live near one! So Gloria Jeans has some amazing drinks called Chillers that are like Frappuccinos, but they have always had a ton of really good and really interesting flavors. One of my favorite Seasonal ones is the Pistachio Chiller. They had this around this time last year also and its a really good unique flavor. Basically it tastes like pistachio ice cream... but in a frozen coffee form. Its pretty cool! And Pistachio is a pretty underrated flavor in my opinion. I don't get it enough, but I always love Pistachio and Almond flavored desserts and this in particular is really flavorful and just a really good chiller. I don't think there is anything at starbucks that compares to it really, its really different...

Scribbles about Books: Horns by Joe Hill

I picked this book up not too long ago because after seeing the trailer for the movie and seeing it was based on a book I thought "Hey, that looks good. I should read the book." Then my friend gave me a Barnes and Noble gift card for my birthday and I thought "Hey I wanted to read Horns, I should grab that." And I did, and I had to read it around halloween of corse! So this is my kind of horror story first of all. I love that the universe it takes place in is very realistic and very small-town. If you've noticed in some of my other book reviews... I like mysteries that take place in small towns. And its very believable because the world and the characters are all so real. I think its a good book just for that. The book starts out with this guy Ignatious, or Ig a year after his girlfriend Merrin is murdered. He grows horns from out of his head... for no real reason.
