Chart Chat 9.26.16

10) Kubo and the Two Strings-This is the 6th week in the box office and it is still going strong! I think this just looks like a fun family movie. Even though the kids are back in school now, this is one that would be fun to go to after school if they don't have a lot of homework, or if they had a half day or on the weekends or something. Didn't see it... not totally interested in it... but it looks like a fun movie anyone could enjoy! Only made 1.1 million dollars this weekend... but still, not doing too bad for a movie that has been out for 6 weeks!

9) When the Bough Breaks- I hadn't heard of this movie, it sounds good though! I would watch... it sounds like a lifetime movie... but its still probably scary and good. Didn't see any reviews... this is the third week this has been out and... yeah. Just seems good!

8) Suicide Squad- I've heard mixed things about this. I actually just watched the Season Premiere of Gotham... and I really think if you want to watch a good DC Comics show... television seems to be doing a better job than movies right now. I like all the DC shows that are on but I haven't heard many good things about the movies... but this is one to see if you really wanted to see it. I might on TV... but I don't think I'd be upset without seeing it. I haven't seen Superman or Batman v Superman yet... and those didn't look good to me... but this does and it is connected to those movies.

I've talked about this before... moving on!

7) Don't Breathe- Surprise horror hit! Horror movies don't always do well, although I guess this is more of a thriller than a horror movie... either way the trailer made it look amazing and people seem to really like it. I wonder if this is one of those movies you need to see again and again to appreciate. I will probably watch it at home... no one I know really likes Horror movies and I kind of prefer to watch them in the comfort of my own home... or someones home. Its good.

6) Blair Witch- I didn't love the original Blair Witch Project... but at the same time I don't think it needs a reboot or any other movie. If they were using more modern technology, that would be one thing... but the beauty of the original was that it didn't need that... so yeah. Idk. I'm not interested in this.

5) Snowden- I like Joseph Gordon Levitt a lot... I know people have varying opinions on Snowden and I'm not sure if this movie is for him or against him or if its totally unbiased... but yeah. I know he is a person people feel strongly about either way... I don't want to say anything regarding how I feel about Snowden himself... but I have very little interest in the movie either way. I know its important... but I'd rather see Bridget Jones's Baby or another Harold and Kumar movie or something from Pixar. Biopics are fine... but they aren't really my cup of tea.

4) Bridget Jones's Baby- I like Bridget Jones. I don't know that the world needed another Bridget Jones movie... I'll maybe see it in theaters... probably see it some day. But yeah.

3) Sully- Again, I'm sure this movie is brilliant... but not my thing. Captain Sully is a hero, Tom Hanks is an amazing actor and I'm sure if I do watch I'll love it... but yeah.

2) Storks- This looks really cute! Maybe its just because my sister is pregnant, and I'm excited for that... but this just looks really cute and fun. I'm glad its doing so well too!

1) The Magnificent Seven- Chris Pratt is in this... I want to see it! It sounds like a fun movie too, I'm sure its really good! No surprise it is number 1! I'm sure this is amazing!

So that is just about it... if you've seen any of these movies let me know if they're any good or if I should avoid them all together... or let me know yeah... Life is too short, watch Storks instead of something serious!

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
