I have kind of mixed feelings about the premiere of the 6th season of AHS...
I'm a big fan of the "true story" format of the show. I think its really brave of them to switch up formats, and its kind of cool to see different actors playing the same character... I am a little disappointed that it seems that this will be the format of the whole show. I feel like... it might end up being scarier and a little funnier, but there are some things they aren't probably going to get to cover. Like I'm certain that the marriage between Matt and Shelly I think her name is... isn't as good as Shelly describes in the beginning. No relationship is! Plus all the previews seem to make it look like one of the themes is illusion... so there is definitely some illusion with that! There are unreliable narrators and an unreliable narration going on. So... that is something to take note of.
I thought the yoga jokes were all pretty funny. My Facebook status says "We Moved To Los Angeles, Yoga Capitol of the world" just because I really thought that was funny. I like Lilly Rabe as Shelly.
I didn't notice Evan Peters... It said his name on the end credits though... so I hope his character is good and that he's not in a disguise. Also I think Lady Gaga was supposed to be in this season... where is she?
The one thing I didn't really like about the episode... it wasn't scary! I liked that they kept the themes under wraps because it created more suspense... but I wasn't really scared by anything that happened. I also liked that there weren't 50 different storylines going on, there was just one main thread. And while I think that works... idk if I'm going to like how they do different story lines throughout the season, if they have any or if it will get boring to just have the main storyline all throughout the series.
I also think it'd be fun if the actors were playing themselves... that might be fun. Like if Matt got excited Cuba Gooding Jr was playing him or something. I'm excited to see what happens!
Hope you guys liked this! Let me know how you liked this episode and your predictions for the season in the comments!
