Scribbles about TV: My Random Obsession with Bar Rescue

The charts for this week were basically the same as last week... so I figured I'd talk about something I love to hate: Bar Rescue.

And I don't really even love to hate it... maybe I hate to love it? That makes sense to me too. Anyway every single Sunday Spike has a marathon of Bar Rescue... and for the most part... I watch it like its church. And its not necessarily because I love Bar Rescue that I watch it... its more because nothing else is on on Sunday, I don't like Sports I have no interest in The Olympics... so for me... its Bar Rescue or actually going out and doing something with my life. And even if I do decide to do something with my life... usually Bar Rescue is still on when I'm done trying. So... yeah. Its basically Stockholm Syndrome. I love Bar Rescue because it has me hostage all day every Sunday and I just love it.

And the funny thing is... I ALWAYS complain about it on Facebook too. I'm always like "Okay these people on Bar Rescue are crazy!" Or "There's a bar on Bar Rescue called Hooch... wtf?" And yeah. I don't know why I feel the need to talk about Bar Rescue on all of my social medias... but people need to realize how crazy and amazing Bar Rescue is. I have over 200 friends... they all gotta know about Bar Rescue right?

I'm also slightly astounded by it... It seems that when they change the bar the owners have little say as to what the theme is. This could be different than they make it look on the show... but its weird right? Like I can see why the famous Pirate bar was failing... but the owners didn't want a bar for business people... they didn't ever say that's what they wanted... the people from Bar Rescue just kind of changed it based on the location... but it wasn't something the owners were passionate about. And sure, it seemed like the owners weren't really passionate about the bar to begin with... but it was just kind of like "Okay... no one had any say in any of this... and it failed."

According to this website about Bar Rescue Updates... 72 of 112 bars are still open... 37 have closed and 3 have sold. So I guess those are pretty good statistics... better than I expected... but it seems like a lot of the older bars are the ones that closed... so of corse the newer ones are opened as of right now... but they could close at some point. There have been 2 re-rescues I think... maybe more I just saw Murphy's Law and 2nd Base have been rerescued. A lot of owners and regulars aren't happy with the Bar Rescue experience and how the bar looks after and what happens after. Its kind of sad. I was watching the marathon today and there was one Jazz Club that they re did so nicely and the owner seemed really nice... and its closed now and that just makes me sad. A lot of them close before the episode even airs... which is why I think they have the updates from like 6 months later or something short like that. It makes it look a little more successful than it is.

Anyway... the thing that made me laugh most was Spike's promotion of the "Bar Rescue Labor Day Weekend Marathon" because there is literally a Bar Rescue marathon every week. I don't know if Spike has any other shows besides Bar Rescue and Lip Sync Battle because that is all I ever see on there. And sometimes a re-run of Cops.

So there you have it... my weird thing for Bar Rescue! Hope you guys like it!

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
