Weekly Wrap Up 9.11.16

Favorites

American Gothic- That finale of American Gothic was just really really good. I did a review on it here and I loved it! It was perfect. It wasn't the most shocking pick for who the SBK accomplice was... but there were lots of twists and turns and it was just really well done. Especially the very ending in my opinion. I really loved it!

Sisters- I just watched Sisters last night for the first time... I could easily watch it 100 times or more. It was really funny and just a good movie. Funniest movie I've seen in a while! It was so good!

Pumpkin Spice- Just anything Pumpkin Spice gets a shout out for me this week. I mention it more in the Noteworthy Snacks section... but really Pumpkin Spice makes everything better!

Life Scribbles
- Monday... I think I wasn't feeling so great. I was starting to feel a little better, but my stomach was hurting a little bit this week. It was also labor day... but I didn't do anything different than any other day I don't think. Lol.
-Tuesday I was feeling a bit better, but not that much. Again... didn't do too much that day.
-Wednesday you can read about here
-Thursday I felt better, I went out to eat and helped my mom with stuff.
-Friday I went to lunch with my mom at a nice diner and they had pumpkin pancakes and it was really yummy. They had good bacon and breakfast potatoes there too.

TV Highlights
American Gothic was obviously the highlight of the week. I love it! I can't wait till next year... there needs to be a season 2!

Noteworthy Snacks
Pumpkin Pancakes, Pumpkin Spice Frap, Mocha Chile Frap... those little iced oatmeal cookies. There was a lot of good stuff.

Thoughts
Today is 9/11 and its a very sad day. I'm watching the news memorial now, last year was the first time I really got to watch it because I wasn't in school... and its an important thing to watch because over the years when they keep repeating the names and now with the museum and all the memorials for 9/11, you remember the names and the faces of the people that lost their life, which is incredibly important. Never Forget what happened and all the people involved. <3

Clickables
27 Times Tumblr Understood Our Obsession with HGTV - The best ones are "My ship of the year is Joanna and Chip from Fixer Uppers" because Fixer Uppers is my favorite and "Who needs porn when you have Property Brothers" because duh.

Random Haul
I don't always do this... but I bought a few interesting things this week.

One thing I got was one of the new Starbucks Anniversary mugs. There was a really pretty sparkly mermaid-scale one that I regret not getting last year, so I decided to get this one I thought was cool this year. It has the mermaid and its sort of a matte print and I think it looks really cool. I had a gift card, so I used that to get it.

I got The Tower of Terror on DVD... which was one of my favorite movies... as a kid. I'll have a Throwback Thursday of that in October... and it didn't quite make as much sense as it did when I was a kid, but I'm still happy I found it and happy I can watch it again and again again. Lol.

And I got a halloween decoration print of a Raven from Target's Dollar Spot. I thought it was funny to put by my desk and look like I'm a dark and mysterious writer... so I think that is kind of cool.

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
