Scribbles About Food: Maple French Toast English Muffins

I loveeee English Muffins and I like French Toast, so when I saw limited edition Maple French Toast flavored English Muffins... I needed them! And here are my thoughts.

So I've had these twice and one time I put them in the toaster and I didn't know if we had any butter opened or where any butter was... but I saw Cream Cheese and I thought that might work. The Second time was right after, so its not like I found butter or anything... but I did forget to put it in the toaster before putting the cream cheese on... so I just microwaved it... so there was a difference and I figured I'd let you guys know.

Toasted With Cream Cheese
So it tasted pretty delicious just toasted with Cream Cheese on it. I thought the cream cheese gave a nice flavor. It was nice and cinnamony and pretty delicious... I'm actually getting a little hungry thinking about it now and it makes me want a third... lol. It wasn't overly flavorful, I think if you had apple butter or something that would go well with it. I almost put Pear Butter on because we have that... but I didn't love the Pear Butter... so yeah. The Cream Cheese was good, but I think a butter or an apple or pear butter would also work well.

Microwaved with Cream Cheese
I had no idea how long to microwave this for... I'd say 10 seconds is probably good, but I decided to do it for 30 seconds... no idea why. It got too soft and it was wayyy too hot. It didn't melt the cream cheese or anything and the flavor was still there... it was just a little soft and didn't work all that well. There were no nooks or crannies. So it was just meh.

So yeah. If you like English Muffins and you like cinnamon, I'd try these. They weren't that amazing or anything... but they are pretty delicious and I liked it and I'm excited to eat more of these. Would I get another pack... maybe? They weren't that amazing and I feel like there are more options for the traditional English Muffins... so I don't know... but it isn't bad. And I would recommend them.

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
