It List: January 2016

First It List of the Year! Here we go! If you're new here, I'm just listing around 10 things that I've been loving this month that I think you should check out.

1) The Worst Idea of All Time Podcast- This podcast is so funny. Its 2 guys that watch the same terrible sequel every week for a year and they see something different every time. I'm listening to season 2 because in season 2 they watched Sex and The City 2... and I love Sex and The City 2... it is an awful but its a fun watch... but its flawed and I love listening to all the flaws since it is a very flawed movie and... its just fun. I might be doing something similar in May... I'm trying to pre-write posts so that I can take off for the entire month of my sisters wedding... so yeah... I thought that would be a fun idea. A bad idea... but a fun one. I like this podcast a lot and I'll keep listening to it!

2) Serial Season 2- Another podcast favorite. I feel like this season will have a bit more controversy than last season and I feel like its something a lot of people aren't going to like. It isn't about someone that might be innocent like season 1 was, this man admits to doing a bad thing... but he believes he did it for a good reason. Whether you agree with the man or believe him or not... the podcast is about a story and the story that its telling is interesting and something most average people would know nothing about without this podcast.

3)My Fitbit... again- Another pretty much forever favorite! The Fitbit! This is clearly just an all around favorite, but I feel like sometimes I'm more into it than others... and this is one of those times! I'm trying to at least get halfway to my goal every day... Yesterday I did my first "Fitbit Friday" where I pretty much track my progress on it and I think I'll keep that up bi-weekly or once a month maybe. Not quite sure yet... but otherwise its really fun. I love the challenges. I'm just having fun with it and if your new years resolution is to be more active... this is a great motivator.

4) Iphone 6s- These favorites all involve my iPhone 6s really... which I also absolutely love. I haven't had a new iPhone in quite some time, so I'm really happy to have one. I haven't even updated my phone in over a year, so this is some really futuristic stuff for me. I love it. If you're thinking about getting a new phone... you can't go wrong with an iPhone.

Also random I HATE the chargers for the iPhone, so if you're like me and they always break on you... Wallgreens has great iPhone chargers. They're more pricey than if you buy a bunch of chargers on amazon or something... but they're better. They last longer and you can get them in fun colors. I was in a pinch one day when I was commuting from college and I needed a charger, so I stopped at Wallgreens and got one and it was good.

5) Soap And Glory Sugar Crush Fragrance Mist- So I don't know if this mist set is still available at Ulta... but I think it may eventually come back and maybe it will eventually be sold in a single form... but this is great. Its not really that strong and it doesn't last that long... but the scent just makes me happy whenever I spray it. It smells like a margarita ice cream float and I loveee it. They have this as a shower gel, body butter and a scrub... its really nice. I like it a lot. Idk if they still have the scrub cause microbeads are almost illegal in the US... but its good. I love Soap and Glory.

I just sprayed a little too much... lol. Now I'm waiting for it to cool down and then maybe it'll last longer... idk I loveee it though! Usually Citrus bothers me, but I love this!

6) Costco Sherpa Blankets- So Idk if there are costcos where everyone lives... Idk if you have these blankets... but if you do... get them. They are the best. We have several in our house. They have them every winter pretty much. They are the comfiest things in the entire world. This year they are even more comfy than ever I think... and they're great. Really warm. My room has been so cold lately and these blankets have helped a lot... so if you see them at your costco... get a bunch! Lol.

7) Master of None- I'm a little late with this show... but it is amazing! Its kind of like Louie, but 10 years younger. I think if you like Aziz Ansari and if you like Louie, you'll probably like this show. I say its "like Louie" because its a similar story, there are lots of long shots in New York. Its kind of about nothing, but Aziz's life as a struggling actor and with his friends and dating. I like it a lot. His parents are on it and they're really funny. Its good. I wasn't going to binge watch it... but I keep going "ehhh just another episode."

The opening credits are also worth note. Really cool.

8) David Bowie- David Bowie is always my favorite singer. Like I listen to his songs for life advice. He's amazing. I've been listening to his songs a little more now because of his passing. One I've never had that I especially love right now is Life on Mars. That song is great.

9) Minion Lights- So for Christmas my sister actually got my family Minion Lights for us to hang up because I love minions and my family kind of loves them just as much as I do. They've made their way into my room now that we've taken them down from the living room... and I love them. They are the most beautiful lights in the whole world. Lol. They are adorable and I love them.

Also speaking of minions, they have minion like little tins of candies too. They're like mint containers but they have minions on the front... those always have THE BEST candies in them. They had a dracula minion that was strawberry banana flavored, they have ones that are just banana runts pretty much and they're sooo good... and they have chocolate ones in a fart gun. So its not just the minion in there that makes it worth buying... the candy is also quite good!

I think that is everything! Let me know some of your must haves this month!

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
