The Weekly Wrap Up: 1/3/16

So today is the first Sunday of the New Year, which means its also the first Weekly Wrap Up of 2016... which is cool! Happy New Year everyone... I'm sure I've posted before... but yeah. This is good.

Favorites
The Worst Idea of All Time Podcast- So this podcast was started a while ago and it was 2 guys from New Zealand that decided to watch Grown Ups 2 every day for a year and write a podcast of it. And I listened to an episode... but I've never seen Grown Ups 2... but I did see the movie they are doing for Season 2 in which they do a movie I actually think is really a fun movie... Sex and The City 2. Arguably... more watchable and less boring than the first movie and its not a good movie by any stance... but it is watchable... if you see it one time. If you see it every day for a year... probably not. Its a fun podcast though and I'm a little obsessed with it right now.

I've also been listening to my other podcasts too like Comedy Bang Bang and How Did This Get Made... so this was just fun.Its been a podcast-y week. I like podcasts that are hard to explain to your parents and grandparents.

Iphone 6s- I don't think I mentioned this in my Weekly Wrap Up from last week... but I love my new iPhone! Its so good. I've had an iPhone 5 for years and years and I hadn't done a software update in over a year... so this is like being in the future. I feel like Kimmy Schmidt... only I wasn't kidnapped or in a cult... so I guess thats a bad comparison, but when she calls now the future... thats what it feels like for me! I like it a lot! Its great. If you're looking for a new phone... get this. lol. I have it in rose gold too which I like.

I'm not a fancy phone case person, but I love the case I have too. I don't look for anything cutesy, I just want something that does a good job of protecting my phone that will last forever and its good. I have it wrapped and with a bumper, so you can still see the rose gold. If you live or work in the city, I would recommend getting a case that looks like a book or a journal. Those are always protective... and people are dumb. You can clearly be using it as a phone and people will just think "that girls crazy, she's talking into her bible." Lol. I've also left it places and people had no idea what it was and didn't touch it... so its super useful.

Fitbit- Once Again... my Fitbit is one of my favorites. These are just so fun and so useful. I love seeing how much I walk and really trying to get to my goal steps. Its kind of a New Years Resolution to make 10,000 steps every single day for the year that I'm feeling well enough too... so far I haven't been great... but I think I'm getting there. Its more about just not sitting down all day and kind of realizing what you're doing. Its strange... but I like it.

Highlights
I went to starbucks a few times... which was fun.

I went out with my friend for New Years Eve and that was fun too. It was quite the eventful night and I'm going to have a whole blog on that. I started writing it already and I meant to have it up for New Years... but this was just kind of a fun thing. That'll be a good blog.

New years day and the day after were a little rough. I think everything will be okay. I think everything is okay now... but really I'm not sure, not gonna talk about it, but I'm okay. And I think everything is going okay. The year is just off to a slightly rocky start.

Everything is okay now and I ate pizza yesterday. So thats good.

TV Highlights
I watched Happy New Year's Charlie Brown. That isn't terrible, not my favorite though. They have a musical chairs song... and its not fair because Peppermint Patty is singing it and she's the one that wins... clearly rigged! Charlie Brown also fell asleep before midnight and didn't get to dance with the little red-headed girl. Also seriously Linus? HE danced with her??? She's Charlie's girl! Way to be a terrible bro!

I watched some of The Honeymooners because my grandparents and my uncle love it and they were over on New Years. I thought it was pretty funny. There was an episode where the landlord turned off the heat and the one guy had hot water bottles all around his neck. That was funny.

I watched The Worst Cooks Ever... or whatever its called. The reality show where Bobby Flay and Anne Burrell train bad cooks and try to get them to cook good. My favorite person in the world was a guy named Jamie that's a flight attendant from New York and on the bottom it said "Jamie. Flight Attendant." and then he says "Hey my name is Jamie, I'm from New York I'm a Flight Attendant." And thats it! Like... what! Lol. Possibly my favorite thing.

And I watched America's Funniest Home Videos a few times too... there were lots of marathons of it and it is just fun to watch. Its stupid and most of them are annoying... but some make me laugh. And its just been kind of fun to watch.

News
Miss Columbia, understandably, not thrilled about not being crowned. She had a pretty good response at first but she's like... Columbia was robbed blah blah blah... idk. It sucks they should just make them both winners... but honestly all of the women were so gorgeous who cares. Lol. I agree with being proud of your country and supporting your country in these competitions especially... but yeah. I feel like they're all winner. Literally they are. There are worse things going on between the countries than this... so yeah.

Jenny McCarthy says Rob Kardashian should see it as a warning that he has diabetes... a warning as to what... who knows... but Dr. McCarthy earned her degree from Google and has probably only dressed as a doctor on a playboy cover anyway.... so I would not take her advice. Idk. I used to like her... but I didn't know she was crazy with the vaccinations.

In cool accepting of diabetes news however, American Girl Dolls have added accessories for girls with disabilities. They have diabetes kits, wheelchairs, kits for girls with cancer...girls can really personalize their dolls to be like them now. That is cool. I like that.

Skylar Astin and Anna Camp got engaged over the weekend. Love them! They are adorable! I accidentally started following him on Instagram because I got him confused with the girl from Scream Queens... Skylar Samuels? Aaron Samuels? Not sure. Lol. Its not Aaron Samuels, I'm aware.

There was something else important... didn't write it down... can't remember it now!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
