Scribbles About Music: What's on my Apple Music?

So my dad is sharing his apple music with me because I kind of get bored with music easily... so yeah. This is good for me. If I like the songs enough I'll probably buy them... but I don't love hearing the same things over and over again... so Apple music is good for me. This might be a little bit of a boring post... but I'm still going to write it. Lol.

So I only have albums downloaded right now... If I have singles I tend not to listen to them. I do have one single though and that is Hotline Bling from Drake... I don't like Drake that much... but I can get on board with this song. Its pretty okay. I think its mostly because of American Horror Story.

The main reason I have Apple Music is because I actually like Justin Bieber right now and I feel a little embarrassed actually owning his cd... and I don't think my dad wanted his daughter owning a Justin Bieber CD either, so I have that on here too write now. I'm actually listening to the song "Children" right now and its not bad. I like the singles, but I'm surprised I actually like this one too. Lol. I have all my songs on shuffle.

I also have Demi Lovato's new cd Confident. I have mentioned I have a girl crush on her. She is awesome and when I was trying on Bridesmaids dresses they played Confident and I was like "YASSS STACEY I NEED THIS DRESS" lol. And thats a long story.

I have 3 from David Bowie... I think only 3 were available. Blackstar, which is his album he released right before his passing... very dark album. That is what's playing right now. The Song Blackstar. I didn't like it when my dad played it right before he passed away... but now listening to it... knowing the context its quite beautiful and heartbreaking. He was still working on new music too. Its so sad. I'm a huge David Bowie fan and I'm still very saddened by it.

And my favorite, The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Best of Bowie. I don't think they had any other Bowie albums on... which is sad. I already know Ziggy Stardust and The Best of Bowie so I was hoping they'd have some more... those are things I could purchase though because I know I'm not going to get tired of David Bowie.

The song Blackstar is actually beautiful and heartbreaking. I really like it.

2 Musical soundtracks I needed were Something Rotten and the Hamilton Soundtrack. I loved Something Rotten. I saw it for my birthday. I've listened to the Hamilton Soundtrack a few times too and I love it also. I haven't seen it because its almost impossible... but its a great soundtrack. I would love to see it one day, and I know NBC has said they would like to do this live someday in the future. They can't anytime soon... but if they could get the original cast to do it... that would be great.

I saw In The Heights, which was also written by Lin Manuel Miranda and it was good, but it was serious and it didn't stay in my mind very much... so I'm a little afraid Hamilton would be like that also. But still, its great!

Also it shuffled to Hurricane on the Hamilton Sountrack and then played Young Americans from Best of Bowie... and that was pretty epic!

Ed Sheeran! My future husband. Of corse I have X on here and it says Wembley edition... not sure what that means. Just a special version I guess. I'm so impressed with Ed Sheeran. I didn't like when Lego House came out, I thought it was stupid... but then he had all these awesome super sexy songs. So yeah, he's gotten really good.

Fall Out Boy of corse! I love Fall Out Boy. They have been my favorite band since High School... and I still love them. Really great, I haven't listened to their new cd yet (American Psycho/ Americas sweethearts... or the other way around.Lol. Not sure.) I have all their other cds... but now I can't get the cds on my computer... so that sucks. Lol. But yeah. They're good.

And Pancic at The Disco has a new cd out so I downloaded that also because I love them too. I've listened to Don't Threaten Me With A Good Time so far... and I love it. They are such a great band! I always love them. I'm excited for this new cd.

The Neighbourhood I downloaded... I think they sing Sweater Weather and I like that song... no thats not them. But I've heard them before and I Liked them so I figured I might as well download them.

Rachel Platten also. When I had it on shuffle 2 of her songs played and they were both nice and catchy. And I still like her other songs that they play on the radio, so thats a good sign.

And last and least... the U2 album that doesn't seem to want to leave my music. This is the free one that they released a couple years ago. I think I kept it a while for the novelty of it and then deleted it... and then somehow it came back... so I'm deleting it again right now, and hopefully it stays deleted. Lol. This U2 album is the horror movie album.

So that is everything. Let me know if there is anything else I should listen to now or your recommendations... or if you've seen Hamilton or just like the soundtrack, let me know that too. I feel like thats what I'm most excited about. Its a great soundtrack.

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
