Chart Chat! 1/18/16

Here I'm going to talk about the movies I didn't see and the songs I don't like. Everyone else seems to have seen them and liked them... so yeah.

Movies
5) Daddy's Home- I think this movie looks really cute! My grandfather actually saw it this weekend and said it was really funny. I know its not getting great reviews... but come on. It's not like Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg are looking for an Oscar here.

4) 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Beinghazi- Interesting... Haven't heard about this one. Ohhh no I have, this is the new Michael Bay movie that John Krasinski is in. I love John Krasinski... I thought this was a documentary or something and I would have watched it then... but I don't think I'll watch it. I'm not into super actiony movies. Pretty low on the charts for a Michael Bay movie... but I guess its up against Star Wars and coming out when people are interested in seeing the Oscar movies.

3) Star Wars: The Force Awakens- Wow. Surprisingly #3 here! I still have not seen this movie. Everyone was saying this was going to lose its streak from being #1 because of Ride Along 2... but I thought this might pull ahead or at least be at #2... but I guess people really wanted to see Dicaprio in The Revenant. I'm still going to see this, hopefully in theaters... lol. Idk if I'll do a scribbles about movies on it right away... It might be something I save until May to publish since I'll be the last person to see it anyway... but we'll see. Lol.

2) The Revenant- Its funny because Sandy Kenyon, who does the movie reviews for ABC in the tri-state area said Dicaprio had a great performance, but the movie was  so long and painful to watch. It came out in select theaters on Christmas and he couldn't think of a worse way to spend Christmas than seeing that movie. Lol. Not because it was bad, but it was horrible to watch. I think Tom Hardy is in it... I likes me some Tom Hardy... so I'd consider half watching maybe half of this movie... but I agree it seems hard to watch, and I probably just won't. Lol. It's probably amazing and I'm sure it'll win... but yeah.

1) Ride Along 2- And #1 not an Oscar Contender, not a high profile action movie... well sort of I guess... but Ride Along 2! I love Kevin Hart... I haven't seen Ride Along yet all the way through... but its a good mix of Action and Comedy... from what I saw at least. It isn't bad. I'll probably watch this eventually too.

Itunes
Albums
So I'm doing top Albums because that's more relevant to me than the top songs. Lol.

5) Traveller by Chris Stapleton- Don't know who this person is... he sounds like a country singer... idk. Lol. Unless he's on the radio and he's amazing... I probably won't hear him. He may be amazing. Idk. I could be obsessed with him in a week. But right now I'm good.

4) Purpose by Justin Bieber- I'm a little embarrassed... but I think I want this CD in my life. I love all of JBs songs on the radio... and I feel like I need them in my life. I have no music on my phone right now... but yeah.

3) Best of Bowie by David Bowie- David Bowie is my favorite singer and this album is really great. My favorite song (soul love) is not on this... but if you're into bowie or you want to get into bowie, start with this, then get Ziggy Stardust. Those are pretty much the only albums I have of his... but they're amazing.

2) 25 by Adele- Adele is a great singer. Probably one of the most talented singers available... and I just don't like her very much. Its nothing personal. They just played her all the time everywhere for years, especially when I was working in retail... and they played the Glee version at my store also so it was especially annoying.

1) Death of a Bachelor by Panic at The Disco- I love Panic At The Disco. I don't have this yet and I will probably get it and love it. I haven't heard the songs yet. Panic at the disco is one of my favorite bands though... so this will be a thing that I own. Lol. I love them. I'm happy they're #1.

And going further down the charts there is a ton of Bowie. Its almost every other album... so thats good. I'm glad people are liking David Bowie as much as I do!

Byeeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
