Orange Is The New Black Obsession Blog Post

I feel like I need to post something about my obsession with Orange is The New Black before season 2 comes out because... I am obsessed!

So if you haven't watched it yet you should because it is perfect! It's about a woman named Piper who is basically a nice blonde lady with a past. She's engaged to a normal guy played to absolute perfection by Jason Biggs, and suddenly one day she is arrested for a crime that she committed years earlier. The crime was that she was smuggling drugs and she did it for an ex-girlfriend, also played to perfection by That 70's Show's Laura Prepon. Jason Biggs proposes to her, she goes to prison and has many adventures including insulting the chef, getting stalked by "Crazy Eyes" who thinks she's her prison wife, seeing a chicken and eventually starting a life-threatening fight with a fellow inmate who happens to be a jesus-lover.

One of the best things about this show is the supporting cast. There isn't one character that I find boring and there are characters I don't like, but they are amazing villains. Pennsatucky is sooo annoying but she is hilarious and sad all at the same time. When they showed her back story, its almost sad but it more importantly shows why she's so terrible and makes her twice as terrible... and I'm sure there are people like her in real life- which is just scary. I also think Heely is absolutely terrible, he's the counselor that's like a lesbian witch hunter and he's in love with Piper at firs it seems, but then at the end he is a true asshole. And then there's pornstache and all the other horrible people on the show... its just great lol.

And there are also great characters like Red and Crazy Eyes and Nikki and Daya and the guard... which is a story I cannot wait for! It's all good. And it shows stories of how they got to prison and what they were like before prison. It's just all really good, but it doesn't overshadow Piper and her storyline. Piper is somewhat annoying, but she's a character that is interesting and easy to relate to. She's a great central character, it's easy to get hooked on. I watched the first season in like a week, I'll probably finish it a second time this week. I'm watching the second season with my friends in one day... we won't talk at all throughout any of it... it's just all good!

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
