Woman Crush Wednesday: Cameron Diaz

1) She's always entertaining to watch- I've seen a lot of movies with Cameron Diaz in it, and I feel like she's just super fun to watch. Even if a movie gets bad reviews and its not great overall, like Bad Teacher for example, its still fun to watch because she's just so good in it. I just think she's one of those movie stars that really brings it to any movie she's in.

2) She can do different types of genres- I know she mostly does Rom Coms but she can step out of her comfort zone and do a lot of different things. I really liked the movie The Box that she was in and that was a psychological thriller type of movie. I may be the only person that liked that movie, but I thought she was great. I've never seen the movie My Sister's Keeper, but that's not a comedy either and she was able to be the mom in that and I think it got pretty good reviews if memory serves me. She was also in that action movie with Tom Cruise a few years ago that my mom liked (I think my mom secretly likes Tom Cruise. I don't think she has a crush on him or anything, but she likes him and I think its a secret. lol.)

3) She's both the straight-girl and the funny girl- In There's Something About Mary, she may have been the title character, but she wasn't the person that was supposed to make you laugh uncontrollably or anything. In Bad Teacher, she was the person you would be laughing out loud at. In The Holiday, she had the more funny of the two stories, but it was also a more serious role for her in my opinion. She isn't boring to watch either way, but I think its good that she can do both.

4) She's got a hot bod- Seriously girl be fit! It's not even like an "ohhh shes so skinny" type of thing, you can tell she works out and keeps her body the way that it is. She's got a tiny stomach, long legs and a nice butt... like how is that possible that people that beautiful exist!

5) She's aged really nicely- This doesn't sound like its a compliment, but I mean it that way. It's not like Cameron Diaz is old, but she isn't 20 anymore. She's gotten older and sometimes in Hollywood that can be really scary. I think she looks just as good now as she did when she was first starting out, if not better. In The Other Woman I thought that her make up looked like it wasn't doing anything for her and that it made her look older, but when she has little make up on (they showed her trailer for sex tape and she didn't seem to have much make up on) she looks amazing. She's just someone that has always been beautiful and will stay that way.

6) She's Believable in every role she's in- She has a lot of really different roles in all of her movies and I think she's totally believable in all of them. In Bad Teacher- she's a bad girl teacher that breaks the rules, does drugs and is just a kind of a bad person. In The Other Woman, she's the sexy mistress of a married man and the best friend to his wife after she finds out. In The Box, she's a mother and a woman who wants a million dollars so badly she presses a button that will kill another person. In What Happens in Vegas she was the tightass business woman who is recovering from one night of fun. In The Holiday she's a woman that's been cheated on and is falling in love with someone else, also sucessful bussinesswoman. In In Her Shoes she's the dyslexic sister that sleeps with her sisters boyfriend and gets kicked out. In There's Something About Mary she's the girl next door that everyone is obsessed with... That's a lot. A lot of movies and a lot of different roles and she does a great job in all of them!

Also once she was on a talk show and she mentioned that her first movie was The Mask. That's a pretty successful first movie and pretty much all of her movies since then has been successful. Maybe not critically, but mostly critically and definitely in the box office... and that I think is because people see that Cameron Diaz is worth the price of admission to see a movie. She's just overall really great and people like her.

7) She seems like a good person- I don't think she seems like one of those celebrity phonies like some people-*cough* Gweneth Paltrow *cough*- she just seems like she's real and has to be a good person. I don't know her personally, but I just think that she seems like she is someone friendly and without an ego and just a good person. And I think that can be supported, she's still friends with a lot of her co-workers. She did a movie with Justin Timberlake even after they broke up, She's been in two movies with Jason Seagel and they seem to be good friends, and she still goes to dinner with Drew Barrymore and her husband. I just think that definitely makes an impression and it means she's good to work with and a real person.

That's it for today. Tomorrow I think I'm going to do a movie review... can you guess what movie?? Lol!

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
