Alrighty so the internet is a strange and wonderful place sometimes, but sometimes it can be dark and scary. Luckily for you, I am brave enough to test those waters, explore viral videos and inform you on what is funny and what you should avoid if you don't want to vomit and have to block your childhood. Ohhh god. The things that exist.
1) Shrek is Love, Shrek is Life- Okay so warning ahead of time, do not watch this. Under absolutely no circumstances is this going to make you feel anything other than disgust and regret. Remember how I was talking about how the internet was a dark and scary place that will ruin your childhood? This is it.
So basically the video is about a boy that loves Shrek. He actually worships Shrek. A little weird, Shrek is an older movie... and its good but no need to worship it or anything. And his dad disapproves... which again I don't understand. I guess its a tad weird for your child to worship Shrek like a religion... but hey its not drugs or anything so thats okay... so his dad yells at him, tells him to stop worshiping Shrek and go to sleep or something like that... I've tried to block it out of my head and I do not want to rewatch it. Anyway so Shrek basically makes his way into this kids room and rapes him... well I guess the kid was consenting, but Shrek didn't really ask for consent so it was rape... which is disturbing enough on its own... throw in a beloved cartoon character and thats just too much.
The video is really funny though because its just sooo bizarre. Also there are great lines like "filled my butt with his love" and "shrek said to my dad 'its all ogre now'" It's pretty funny as disturbing as it is.
I would definitely rate this video like a negative 70 Shreks out of 1,000 because its gross... even though it was kinda funny. Do not watch ever.
Also I think this is a thing now that people have Shrek fanfiction. Which is weird because he's a cartoon. I also saw a giff of a woman sitting and up her skirt is a shrek face... very odd. lol.
2)Psy Hangover- Psy is cool. Snoop Dog or Lion or Dragon or whatever Pokemon he's evolved into is good, so this shouldn't be too bad. Can't be worse than the Shrek video. Let's see!
Psy is known for his dance moves... this video has him with his head stuck in a toilet after a night of partying. There's a dance I can do! But in all seriousness this is a good song. I'm super impressed that Psy can sing really well in both English and Korean. I thought this song was going to be crappy because its not in his language, but its really really great! It's also a 5 minute video! damn was not expecting it to be this long! Ohhh wow Snoop is singing in Korean. I didn't expect that to be good either!
Now I'm starting to not like the song as much... I really like Psy and Snoop too, but this one is just not my favorite. I'll probably end up liking it more if it gets played more often, but the beat isn't as great as Gangnam Style or Gentleman. Ohhh he has a new single called Daddy this summer also. That's exciting. I give this 6 dancing guys in stables out of 10.
3) Gimme Pizza- Since I started this off with disturbing childhood memories, I'll ruin Mary Kate and Ashley for you as well. Sooo this is an older video which is just a regular song from a Mary Kate and Ashley slumber party movie but its slowed down to make everything creepier. And the girls in it are just super creepy and its just odd. Out of all the songs that could have been slowed down, somehow I think this ends up being the absolute creepiest song they could have picked. There's something oddly demonic and its just a weird weird thing. Funny though and this one I want you to watch. I feel like I loved Mary Kate and Ashley as a kid but as an adult I don't like them. I mean their movies were probably great for kids but they grew up super weird. Anyway this kind of is a love/hate thing so it works. 5 disgusting pizzas out of 5.
4) Giorgio Tsoukalos quotes- This is the "Alienz" guy. Idk why I decided to watch this, it just seemed like it would be a good thing to watch. I like aliens. This isn't actually as funny as I thought but it is interesting. He does get progressively more crazy over time saying that we're half alien and stuff like that... its not all that great. It is short though. 3 UFO's out of 5
5) Greatest Phone a Friend on Millionaire- I'm in that weird part of the internet now and thats a suggested video. And it's not America's who wants to be a millionaire so it isn't Regis or anything. It's the British version and this guy takes his damn time asking his friend the answer and he spells it out and everything and his friend says what he thinks it is in the last two seconds. Not funny, don't know why this is internet worthy. 1 weird random video out of 5.
6) Every Sean Bean Death Ever- In honor of the GOT Finale, I thought I would mention the montage of every death in every Sean Bean movie/tv show of recent years. I guess that's kind of a spoiler... but if you didn't know Ned Stark died by now... you probably aren't all that interested in Game of Thrones to begin with. Lol. This is super funny and its just weird how he always dies! He's the human Spoiler Alert! 5 severed heads out of 5!
That is it! I know some of these were weird, some were funny, some probably weren't all that viral but these are videos that exist and I am sorry for ruining Shrek for you.
