July 2017 It List

1) Despicable Me 3- I loved this movie! I love all Despicable Me and Minion Movies... I think this was the funniest and also kind of the cutest... and I loved the villain. I really liked the villain of this movie too... it was really funny! 2) Justin Scarred- Justin Scarred did a whole series on youtube traveling all of Route 66- from California to Chicago and then back again! It's a really great series, he's such a fun youtuber and there's a lot of history to be learned from the road. It's really cool. 3) Starbucks Chai Latte- I've switched from the White Mocha to the Chai Latte... not really sure why... I just started going to Starbucks 2 times and then I got bored of the White Mocha... so I ordered the Chai at night... and then I wanted it during the day too... so yeah. This is probably what I'll get till the fall... and then I'll probably do the Pumpkin spice... or I'll get a pump of Pumpkin in the chai latte. It's a really nice drink... I ju

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was delicious…but I needed

Short Blog: List of 6 things?

I'm really tired... I should probably go to sleep pretty soon... but I wanted to do a blog anyway... but this blog will probably be about nothing... I'm just going to list 6 things. Idk what 6 things... but six things. 1) It is believed that one of Shakespeare's final plays if not the final play he ever wrote was The Tempest... I think. Lol for some reason I get that confused with As You Like It... but this has Prospero and a boat. 2) The Aristocats is kind of an underrated Disney Movie right? There's a meme of a cat that looks like Marie from that movie saying one of her quotes about being a lady and people were like "why are you that hipster. This makes no sense." But it's from The Aristocats... so it does make sense. 3) I know petite clothes are supposed to be able to fit smaller sized people... but I don't think they fit anyone short but big. Cause it fits weird on me usually. 4) Target Dollar Spot had a cool lamp that I thought had a USB p

Journaling: The Best Thing Ever? Creativity, Writing Stuff!

So this is something I kind of love doing and I never really realized how much I really love just writing something down every day… whether it’s what happened to me during the day, my thoughts and feelings, how I felt during the day… what I’m going to do tomorrow… just little things like that.   Lately I haven’t really been writing a personal journal for myself. I keep a mood log in my bullet journal and I write what I’ve been doing my weekly wrap up on this blog… which I think of as kind of a journal formatted for the public… it’s nice… but I can’t really tell any personal stories when I do that and I like being a little bit more personal… so I think I’m going to make time for myself to just unwind and write a little bit about my day.   I had a loss in my family recently… which is very sad… but I was able to write down some memories and something that had a lot of meaning to me that is kind of hard to tell people   and it just feels really nice that I have that written down a

Throwback Thursday: Did it 90s? Were Dunkaroos as good as we remember?

So I thought I'd do some posts on the 90s because... I liked the 90s, I'm a fan of it... but I'm not that into Nostalgia. I used  to be really into Nostalgia... which is both ironically true and a Demetri Martin joke. I was super into the 90s Nostalgia before it was cool and now its just kind of "eh." The Spice Girls are still okay... but would I trade Lady Gaga for Spice Girls? Hell no. And today we have Lady Gaga... so yeah. I'm going to kind of take apart some of my childhood favorites just because the 90s weren't as cool as everyone thinks they were. Cool! Anyway Dunkaroos were not exclusively a 90s snack. I believe they started off in the 80s and they still sold them in grocery stores up until a few years ago. My mom used to get them for kids in the neighborhood around Halloween... and I'd eat the leftovers because Dunkaroos. I think why people remember them from the 90s is because they changed mascots in the 90s... and I actually remember tha

Scribbles About TV: CBS Fall Schedule 2017- Before and After Football Season

CBS is a bit more of a pain compared to the other networks as far as their Fall Schedule is concerned because they have football on Thursday... so a lot of shows don't debut till November... including my favorite- Life in Pieces...so yeah. Let's get into it! I'll show both... I'll only mention a show the first time it's on the schedule though... so yeah. Monday  Before Football:  8pm- The Big Bang Theory-  I used to like this show... and I'll still watch it in reruns and laugh occasionally... not my favorite show... I don't usually watch this on purpose... so yeah. Not my thing... it's the most popular show though... so it is still a lot of people's things... just not mine. 8:30pm- 9JKL This might be the first show cancelled just because the name is almost impossible to remember. The previews they've been showing on tv are just kind of "was I supposed to laugh at that?" I feel like they're just kidding with this whole show.

New Food From Starbucks- New Iced Teas, Whoopie Pies, Breakfast Sandwiches, and Cookies!

So one of my favorite places in the world is Starbucks… and they have some new food, some older food that I’m just kind of starting to try now… and it’s just all delicious and I love it… so let’s just get right into everything!  First off… the Peanut Butter Cup Cookie… omg. So yummy. Get it warmed up- it’ll be a little bit cakey and melty and good. There’s chocolate- there’s peanut butter… it is just delicious. I’m obsessed with warmed peanut butter treats… or cool Peanut Butter Treats because I love Peanut Butter Ice Cream… I’m a little nervous about blogging about this one because I know they’ll sell out… but yeah. It’s great!  They have a Chocolate Chip cookie too… also really delicious. Very chocolatey and soft and good. I love that too- don’t order it as much.  The newest sweet treat from them… The Whoopee pies… omg! The Vanilla bean one is excellent. The cake is really yummy and the inside tastes almost like Marshmallow… it is just really yummy and one of the best pa

Chart Chat 7.24.17

Alrighty! I'm a little surprised by this week's top movie... not even going to lie... I didn't know who the director was though... so that might have something to do with it also... I thought something else that opened would be number 1... and it's number 3... so that says something! Let's just get right to it! 10) Wish Upon- 2nd week on the charts... and the last week I'm guessing. This was lower than I thought it would be last week...but higher than the bottom of the charts. I feel like the name is confusing... and somewhat gramatically incorrect. You shouldn't end the title of a movie with a preposition, right? It's just weird. Also if you told me "Ohhh do you want to see 'Wish Upon' this weekend" I would think you meant a movie about Cinderella... not a horror movie... so I can see why this is doing so badly. Lol. 9) Wonder Woman- Ohhh wow! Number 9 for Wonder Woman... that has been in the top 5 for most of the summer... I'm

Weekly Wrap Up 7.23.17: Be a Cactus!

Sunday 7.16.17   Today was kind of a chill day for me. My dad was working in my room… vacuuming- patching a wall up and figuring out what to do I guess. He painted my shudders… so that was good.   I watched some youtube videos… caught up on some of the last D23 things that were going on… I really want to go to DisneyWorld sometime soon… That Star Wars Hotel just looks awesome!   And I went out for dinner with my parents… I had ribs with corn on the cobb and a baked potato. I ordered some drink that was supposed to have lemonade in it… but I think they forgot the lemonade… so it was just straight up alcohol… and it was pretty good.   That was pretty much it… favorite thing of the day… The Dis… they’ve been really good for all the D23 news… maybe that was more of a favorite for Saturday… but I’m including it today too. Great Disney News Podcast… really excited for stuff coming out soon.   It was also National Ice Cream Day… I just had a tiny scoop of Ice Cream with t

Favorite Re-Runs to Watch!

I thought this would be a fun thing to post… my favorite things to watch as re-runs.  Friends- I’ve watched friends… pretty much as long as I can remember. I didn’t watch it every week until like season 8 or 9… but I still watch it pretty much every day… every few years. Usually what happens is sometime along when I watch it a lot… I’ll watch the different re-runs on different channels… and I’ll watch the DVDs and such and I’ll keep catching the same episodes that aren’t my favorites. When this has happened in the past- it’s been The One Where Joey Moves out and that whole story arch and then The One With The Jealousy… those aren’t really my favorites. More recently I’ve seen the Vegas episodes on quite often… but I like those episodes more and on Nick at Nite they show a lot… so I just saw The One That Could Have been already… and I’m okay with that… so yeah. Love watching this as a repeat… and I will watch it pretty much all the time.  2)Will and Grace- The only way to watch

The Internet and Cartoons? Disney Emoji Commercial, Ralph Breaks the Internet, The Emoji Movie.

So this is kind of a weird post… but I just saw a really cute commercial on The Disney Channel while watching Toy Story 2… and I thought it deserved a blog post. Plus I thought I’d connect it with some other things.  The advertisement was for the Disney Emoji app that they have out now and I guess they have new Steamboat Willie Emojis… so they kind of did the Steamboat Willie Cartoon, but with the emojis and with different phone-related things and it was just really really cute!  I thought it was just going to be like a regular commercial just showing that Steamboat Willie emojis… but then they sort of had it like it was a conversation between Mickey Mouse and Pete, I guess. They showed a meme of pete looking angry and it said “I’m the Captain Now” which I thought was really funny… and they had like an audio message of Mickey Mouse Whistling and then they had an Uber like thing called “Hoyst” that gave an update on their boat… it was pretty funny! I just thought it was really

Throwback Thursday: Charlie Bit My Finger

I kind of needed to do a blog quickly... so I thought hey... Charlie Bit My Finger! I just watched the original video... I'm going to watch the 10 years later that they recently posted after... and yeah. Charlie Bit My Finger It's kind of crazy that this is one of the early youtube videos and it did so well. It's adorable... but I gotta say there are tons of cute kids on the internet... I'm not sure this would be such a success today... it was kind of the right video at the right time to go viral... and I'm happy it did! It's still funny and pretty adorable! Charlie is so cute with his little teeth and his big bald head. And the other kid's voice is so funny. And when he and Charlie giggle it's just really funny. And what a great big brother too! He doesn't take it too hard when Charlie bites his finger... he's holding him and playing with him... it's so sweet. The Family 10 Years Later This was cute too. The dad REALLY looks like Ba

WERE THEY GOOD???? Listening to bands that suck now to find out if they were ever good: Train

I've been thinking this for quite a while... Train is a band I really liked as a kid. I thought they were really a great band and I would get excited to hear them on the radio. Recently... they've had some less than great songs... so I thought I would listen to some of their older songs and figure out if they were ever good. Also I'll let you know the album name, the year it came out in and whether or not it is available on Apple Music... that's how I listen to music- it just works the best for me and it's easy. Song #1: Drops of Jupiter from the album Drops of Jupiter: 2001 (available on Apple Music)  Backround- I remember hearing this as a kid... I think my friend called it "the fried chicken song" and she said it was really good. And I loved it when I first heard it... I thought it was the most beautiful song ever... I think a few of my friends had even wanted it as a wedding song. It was nice hearing it at a fair or something as a kid because you co

D23 News, Updates, Disney Movies, Pixar Movies, Disney Parks... A STAR WARS HOTEL????????

Heyyyy guys! So I've been at my computer all weekend trying to guess the Disney Parks News coming up... and I've been pretty excited! I haven't been to Disney in years... but I'm obsessed so I've been excited. Let's start with some of the movie news... Aladdin has it's cast announced. Mena Messoud as Aladdin, Naomi Scott as Jasmine and Will Smith as Genie. I'm a little disappointed that it isn't James Iglehart- known for the Musical Aladdin... but I'm still excited for this movie. I love Aladdin- I loved the Beauty and the beast movie... and this sounds... good. I really REALLY wanted it to be Iglehart lol. I'm excited to see what Genie looks like. I'm usually all for remakes and reboots... but when Robin Williams was in the movie... I get a little bit defensive. Not sure why... but the Jumanji remake is bothering me... lol. Okay anyway that's all I heard about the Live Action movies... which is weird because there was a whole
