Blogmas Day 8: Throwback Thursday- The Answering Machine Ornament

So my favorite favorite favorite ornament when I was little... and still now, even though we don't plug it in anymore to make it make noise... was an ornament that was a little mouse on Santa's answering machine! It had a button you could press and it had Santa saying "Hello, I'm off packing my sleigh right now but you can leave a message. Wait for the jingle bells!" Or something along those lines.

I'm not sure why, but I loved that one the best! We had other fun buttons to push, but that was the one I would always go to! I think it was the easiest to push and maybe the easiest for me to reach on the tree... my mom moved it closer to my side because I loved it so much!

I also like the simplicity of it. It isn't from a movie or anything... but its just got this mouse on it and its Santa's voice on the answering machine and that is just special!

So yeah... it isn't the prettiest ornament or the fanciest... but it was definitely always the most fun! And its a fun Christmas memory and I still always love putting it up on the tree! I'm definitely going to get a lot of push-button ornaments for my own tree when I have a family because they are just fun!

Hope you guys liked this fun little memory... I have another one for next week too because there were more Christmas decorations that I just kind of used as toys. Lol.

Bye!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
