Blogmas Day 2: Favorite Children's Characters

So on Instagram Alex's Lemonade started a challenge where you post children's characters for Childhood Cancer Awareness. The Ice Bucket challenge raised enough awareness for ALS that they actually found what causes ALS... so I'm hoping this can help cure cancer as well... especially for children because that is a lot for a child to deal with. Here is the link to Alex's lemonade. I would encourage you to help spread the word about the website. Donate if you can and if you feel comfortable with it. But yeah! Onto my favorite childhood characters!

Sully from Monster's Inc
Monster's Inc is one of my favorite movies of all time... and it is partially because of how sweet Sully was too Boo. And he has kind of a mischievous side too... but he's just a great character. I love him! I love all the holiday Sully's that they have dressed up for the holidays. He's just so cute and cuddly. I love Sully!

Minions
Obviously... I love minions. I just think they're cute and they're funny and I love Despicable Me and all its characters and I love Minions and that story. It's so clever that they're just creatures that go to villains. I'm currently writing this underneath a minion blanket.

Gru from Despicable Me
I'm trying to just mention one character per movie because... let's face it... this could be a very very long list... but I can't not mention Gru! Gru is so sweet. I love Despicable Me. Gru always makes me laugh. Steve Carell is the best!

Stitch
I don't think I can watch this movie without crying.... especially now that I have a dog and I had another dog that passed away that really really reminds me of Stitch... its a sweet movie for any pet owner and Stitch is so cute and fluffy! I love how he's so bad but then he becomes so lovable!

Rapunzel
I really relate to Rapunzel. Idk why... she's just my Disney Princess. I saw Moana today and I love Moana as a Disney Princess/Heroine... but Rapunzel is more me. And I love Tangled. It's a really pretty movie.

The Muppets
Idk if the Muppets count as a children's  character... because I think adults enjoy them equally. I also can't pick one because... they're better together. My favorite muppets are Statler and Waldorf and Miss Piggy... but I can't just choose them because they aren't as good without the other Muppet characters either. I just love The Muppets. Especially the Christmas Carol... so good.

Scrooge McDuck
If you don't know who Scrooge McDuck is... I'm sorry. You need to look up Duck Tales right now! Its so good! Mickey's Christmas Carol is great too.

Miss Nelson
This is from the book Miss Nelson is missing. My favorite book as a kid... I love Miss Nelson and Miss Viola Swamp! Great book very cute!

I know I can think of 5000 more... but these are the characters coming to mind right now that are important to my childhood... and I hope a lot of other kids have some happiness in their holidays now because of Alex's Lemonade. Any of these things would be great to get as gifts for any children in your life... and even if these aren't movies or anything specifically Christmasy... these are still movies I like to watch around christmas!

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
