Blogmas Day 4: Stocking Stuffer Sundays- Movie Gift Guide!

On my other blog Scribbles About Beauty I'm doing more Beauty and fashion-y stocking stuffer guides. I have an eyeshadow guide on there right now and here I'm doing what movies I would buy and who I would buy them for... so yeah! This is just kind of stuff I've noticed on sale at Target and things like that.

Best Friend/ Sister- For Her

Sisters obviously is a good one. This one I wanted a lot because I could watch this over and over and over again and I just had it on Tivo. Such a funny movie, I could never get sick of it... so I needed to pick that up.

I also saw they had Easy A... I loved this movie when it first came out, and I was thinking of watching it again. This is a fun one to watch with friends too... although I think I've only ever seen it with my sister or alone. This was $4 at Target!

Trainwreck is a really funny movie too. I haven't seen this as much as the other movies actually... but I should watch it again. It's a really funny movie that I just really like a lot!

If you're more of a sappy movie watcher than a comedy watcher... idk what to really suggest for that. Lol. Not my thing.

Kids
Finding Nemo is one I would recommend if you don't have it already. Finding Dory just came out... and a lot of these kids were deprived of Finding Nemo, which is far far better than Finding Dory... so yeah. I would recommend Finding Nemo.

Also Lilo and Stitch. Along the same lines as Finding Nemo, its older... so its new to the kids and if you are a parent sick of hearing "Let it Go" over and over and over again... Lilo and Stitch isn't a musical! And the only music in it is Elvis or in Hawaiin! So it isn't as easy to sing along to! Especially if your kid loves animals and dogs... Stitch is a great movie.

And The Lego Movie. I think that can work for girls and boys and its pretty good... its a little weird... not totally my favorite, but its different and its on sale at Target right now I think. Plus The Lego Batman Movie is coming out soon... so it would be fun to see before that.

And Elf! I know its on all the time, but what a great movie!

Mom

This is a harder one for me to think of...

Me Before You. That's sad. I haven't seen the movie yet, I read most of the book... I didn't quite finish the ending because it was sad... but it might be good if your mom likes to read.

My mom really wants to see Straight Outta Compton... I don't think this is one that would be on everyone's Mom Gift Guide... but Maybe I'll get that for my mom. Lol.

My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2. I love this movie! Its all about mother daughter relationships and I think a mom would like this one in particular!

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot might be a good one too. My mom wants to see that still.

Dudes
I've just kinda lumped "Dudes" into one category.

Daddy's Home might be good for a dad/baby daddy or husband... I've never seen the movie, its on sale though and I'm sure its a funny movie if you can relate to the situation.

Jurassic World is a good one. I haven't really seen the full movie... but its got Chris Pratt in it. I think dudes like him... and I know women like him... so yeah. You're welcome!

Furious 7... if he's into cars... might be a good one. I'm not a fast and furious person.

Home Alone... who doesn't love Home Alone? And that's not on as often as it used to be. Home alone 2 too! That was back when sequels were really good!

One For Anyone
Jumanji! I think that's on sale too. It'd be good for kids because there's a sequel coming out soon... and if you take your kids to see the new Jumanji without seeing the original... you're parenting wrong and I'm calling social services.

Dudes and girls and moms love it too... so this is one I think would be good for anyone. I love this movie and would watch it any time. It's a good rainy day movie.

Alright... I think that's a good selection!

Byeee!

Weekly Wrap Up 7.30.17

Sunday 7.23.17  Sunday was a really good day… it was kind of a lazy day for me… but my dad pretty much finished most of the painting in my room… he ran out of paint before he could totally finish it up… so he’ll finish that up soon… my mom is going to the paint store tomorrow… so hopefully he can finish it up then.  He also made some really fantastic barbecue pork… it was going to be pulled pork… but the pulling process didn’t really work… I kind of prefer the texture of it sliced instead of pulled…. idk. I like pulled pork… but this sliced pork was really delicious and flavorful and good.  We went for Starbucks and Ice Cream too… which was fun. Starbucks sends a lot of bonus stars offers after 2… so even though we go in the morning- we have to go after 2 because then we’ll get bonus stars, which my dad uses in New York because it’s a little more expensive there.  And then the ice cream… nutella ice cream with crushed oreos and marshmallow…it was del...

Throwback Thursday: The Incredibles

This is one of the more underrated movies in the Pixar Universe... thatI think is actually getting more popular now than it was back when it was released... so that's good. I think it really stands the test of time... but it still isn't one of my favorites. This movie I think is pretty cool because it was the first time Pixar really used humans. When I was little I thought "Toys, Bugs, Monsters, Fish... the next movie will be about dogs!" And I was surprised it was this! I didn't know Pixar could do that! But I guess technically its about heroes and not humans... but then Pixar began to show more humans in their world and The Pixar Theory was started... and yeah. I just kind of want to state my opinion on the Pixar Theory here too cause why not: I don't believe that Pixar set out to create this elaborate world with all the movies connected... but I do still believe it exists in some way shape of form. It all adds up and checks out... so for me... somehow t...

Rereading My Favorite Thing I Wrote In College

Hey guys! I'd say "today's post is a little different" but they're all kind of different to begin with... so this might end up being the same- or at least something that can fit into this blog in a nice way. So I don't want to post the actual thing that I wrote... but in my college Creative Writing Class that I took at 21 we needed to write a fantastical realism short story. And I wrote something that I always liked. The lead character was a smart and sassy woman... the fantastical elements were exciting and unique... and the story as a whole had a cute ending and a good message... and I really liked the way that I took what happened in my real life and changed it into this amazing and fantastical thing. Re-reading it... it was still pretty good. I actually liked the ending a little bit better because it had a nice message about believing in yourself that I kind of just snuck in there without much thought... and there was a cute little love story. I liked ...
